I have this installed with my home softener Fleck 5600SXT and whole house filter. I installed it as the last phase of my filter. I know this system is overkill (not even well water) but I love to tinker and work on stuff I've never done before. Water comes in from the city and is immediately sent to my BIG not so blue 20" sediment (20 micron) filter. Next it feeds right into my large floor standing ABC whole house up-flow carbon tank to strip away contaminants such as chlorine and chloramines, pesticides etc. The carbon tank is directly connected to the softener. Once softened it goes up to a bank of two Kleen 1 micron filters (they're black now due to initial carbon debris from carbon tank - sacrificing filters for this). Once water gets squeezed through the two Kleen 10" filters its over to the UV sterilizer. The entire system, can be bypassed or each phase can be bypassed individually for servicing filters etc. My water from the hose in front (unconditioned) is 25 gpg which is hard! In the house I can't measure any hardness at all meaning 0 gpg not to mention no measurable chlorine.The UV light is 36" long and 55 watts, I purchased it from Wholesale Market LLC on Amazon. I did a lot of research before deciding to go with this light; they're not cheap! and there are many to choose from. It's a very SOLID chamber, as described it comes with 3 bulbs, 2 quartz sleeves and 2 transformers. I figure I'll be good for at least two years if not longer! The installation easy, I didn't have to use anything that wasn't included. I mounted mine a bit different than others. I mounted my unit high and change my bulb by sliding it down and out (zip tied the boot). I called Wholesale Market LLC with a quick question and someone answered on the second ring and happily answered everything right away. I'll give the most important info first. The unit works as advertised. My initial water test came back as follows:TOTAL COLIFORM BACTERIA; PRESENT (Recommended Limit: ABSENT)MPN Index per 100mL: 8 (Recommended Limit: 0)E COLI BACTERIA Less than 1 (Recommended Limit: 0)After installing this unit, my retest came back as follows:TOTAL COLIFORM BACTERIA: ABSENTE COLI BACTERIA; ABSENTNow for the details. I'm planning on selling my home this year and was advised to get my well tested. I have a DUG well, basically an 8foot deep concrete lined hole in the ground, so it is very vulnerable to surface contamination. In spite of this, I'd never had any water related problems in 30 years of drinking it. When the initial test came back positive for coliform bacteria I looked at and discarded the idea of chemical treatment (shocking) as too much of a pain as well as not being a permanent solution. After all, if the bacteria got in once, they'll get in again. I wanted to be able to assure potential buyers that the water was safe, with minimal maintainence, so I decided to give UV purification a try. I selected this unit based on the high scoring reviews. When the package arrived, it was much larger than I thought it would be. It turned out that the unit was TRIPLE boxed, with plenty of padding to protect the contents. (Good job, shipping dept.) I plugged in both of the ballasts and all three bulbs just to assure myself that everything worked, which it did. The instructions looked a bit sparse, being only a single sheet, but putting this thing together is hardly rocket science, any home handyman should have no problem. I plumbed a bypass in my 3/4" main just after my sediment filter. I made the final hook-up with flexible water heater lines to make removal of the entire unit easy for cleaning. I did not use the enclosed plastic brackets since they looked too likely to get broken over time, instead I made a wooden trough, a simple 3-sided support to hold it horizontally. One tip for assembly. The silicone seals are very soft and can be difficult to get in place without distortion. A thin film of liquid soap on the ends of the glass tube allowed them to slide right on, and I had no leaks at all. After I put the unit in place, I then disinfected all the plumbing by putting bleach in the sediment filter housing and running all the faucets until I could smell bleach at each one, then ran the water until the bleach smell was gone. After about 10 days of regular use, I had the water re-tested and got the results I have posted above. I wanted to find replacement parts but had a hard time finding them, so I sent an email to wholesalemarket and within 2 days got a reply listing the amazon part numbers (Thanks Mike). The unit works, the customer support is there, what more can you ask?

very good product, fairly easy to install. Have private well, tested positive for various bacteria, after install test showed NO bacteria in water

This UV light is great. I have a well. I don’t have a bacteria issue but for the money this was worth the piece of mind. This filter installed easy but I did have to torque down the end caps really hard or it would drip slowly. Once I got the end caps torqued no more dripping. I have only been running this for 5 days. I will follow up if any issues develop.

I bought one of these UV lights to replace one that I had which was 12 years old and had really expensive UV light replacements. The product is a nice metal which is sturdy and solid. Instructions were really clear and easy to follow. Seller (Wholesale Market LLC) gave awesome customer service when I had an issue.The only thing that was a negative is the length of the unit. For me I had to adjust some piping to make it fit where I needed it, but not a big deal. It still does what it is supposed to do and the price was extremely reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend one for someone looking to either replace an outdated unit or install a new one.
