Yes it's will work with any monitor, but if you are looking for 3D Stereoscopic ability, you need 120 MHz or more Monitors portable or stationary types

Q: Will it work with nvidia® geforce® gtx 1660ti?

Yes, as long as you have windows 10 ver.1909 and under. and older ver. of nvidia geforce driver. Geforce gtx 1660ti =391.35-desktop-win10-64bit-international. Is the best for my system

Q: Does this require a connection from the ir emitter to your monitor via a vesa sync cable? if so, does this come with that cable?

In my experience using this with Nvidia RTX5000 GPU laptop you only need the USB cable from the emitter to your computer (included) and the NVidia 3DVision USB driver.

Q: It cam wotk alone with asus monitor vg27vq 27" for 3d viewing

If the monitor is a 3d 144hz 1080 it will work
