Spice Islands Sweet Basil, 0.5 Ounce

It has a really good flavor, I've had many sweet basils & and use it practically daily. The only drawback or negative is there is not a "Shaker" top under the lid, so when you open it & try to pour it out w/o a measuring spoon, too much will come out. So I just transfer to another spice jar that has a Shaker top on it! Besides that it's one of the flavorful brands! If you use regular basil try this! They're definitely is a difference, and the price is fair for the quantity & good quality!

Fragrant and flavorful. Perfect to duke up a salad, cottage cheese, etc. Quick and easy for those in a rush. While nothing beats freshly diced/chopped/minced Basil leaf, this is a good substitute.

#1 Spice Islands is the only brand of Sweet Basil for me = It's worlds apart in taste compared to others. Sorry I had to deduct one star. I use a lot of Basil, so I ordered 3- jars = All were missing the shaker cap (that attaches to the jar) under the screw-on lid. Yes, this is a problem when rushing to prepare meals, & used to shaking out the appropriate amount. Luckily, I still had the previous empty jar to retrieve the shaker cap. I hope this was a one-off on the mfg line, and not the new norm for Spice Islands for whatever reason. I appreciate the high quality/food safety of using glass jars = PLEASE bring back the shaker caps!
