Highest quality training collars available. Love quick-release option.
I train Therapy Dogs. Once I determine a dog has the innate disposition and temperament for this type of work, obedience then becomes of utmost importance.First of all, pet owners should understand that prong collars, used CORRECTLY, are a miraculous tool for training, used by professionals to train working dogs. They are NOT cruel, nor painful to the animal. Recommended by a friend who trains K9 dogs, (mostly Malinois and GS) I bought this brand collar. I’ve successfully used pronged collars in the past for my large Doberman, Rottweiler, Bulldog, but none as high quality as this one.I now have my first “small” dog, fine-boned 40 pound poodle cavapoo mix puppy with a mere 12” neck. She was pulling so badly while in her collar she was practically choking herself. It’s very difficult to give a proper “correction” through a regular collar. Vests are pretty worthless in my opinion, allowing no training communication between owner and dog via the leash, just pull pull pull. I thought she might be too small for a pronged collar, but the trainer said almost any dog that pulls, regardless of size, will respond better to this training collar, and this is the only brand he will use. I like the fact that they have the option for an easy release closure, which I highly recommend if you have arthritis in your hands like this old dog woman has!The first time I put this collar on her she immediately responded to “heel” with only minor correction. I immediately ordered another one of these for my larger blue heeler Bulldog cross as a replacement for his inexpensive prong collar. Now I’m able to have enough control over both dogs to walk one on each side, no easy feat for a big dog and a puppy in training!

this collar saved us from rehoming our dog- GAME CHANGER
this collar is a game changer. we had a trainer come to help us and unless we just constantly fed him treats he would not listen and behavior would not change.walking him was EXHAUSTING. we had a harness and he is a small bully type dog (1/2 Frenchy, part terrier). and he would drag us all over the place- a few times dragging my 12 year old kid into the street. he pulled my back out and my daughters! also when seeing dogs he would start barking in a way you think he would attack and other people would get mad or anxious around us.we started with this collar and magically he changes his behavior!!! there is slack on the leash! he stopped pulling. he walks with us instead of dragging us. he does not like the sensation on his neck when he pulls so he magically stops!!! when he sees dogs and starts to lunge he stops! if he does start barking i just lightly tug on this collar and he stops!i watched a video about how to use this property so it's a tool not a device of torture. google robert cabral. he shows how to properly fit this and not use it to harm your dog. very useful.thank you for this collar omg! we almost had to rehome our dog and now we do not have to. walking is no longer stressful. we have control over our dog. it's a game changer

Good quality collar
only thing that stops my hyper puppy from pulling. I had to make it 2 links smaller and that wasn't an easy task but I did it! Good product if used properly.

Nice set for the price
My dog has a black Herm Springer that I purchased a biothane easy put on thingie but it became a safety issue when the Chicago screws kept coming out. I would have gotten him another black one but they were stupid expensive. Plus he needed extra links and rubber tips. This had everything I needed. I still have a bunch of extra tips and a couple of extra links too. My opinion is that Herm Springer make the best collars and I have been using the brand since the 90s. Will purchase again if I need to.

Definitely a genuine Herm Sprenger
This is my second time getting a prong collar. The first one was a fail for sure. I got a different brand than H.S. The links were way too huge and I had the prong way too large, my dog just pulled through it. But the links in the 2.25 Herm, are very small, easy to remove and put back together, and it works wonders when fitted properly. You have to have it snugly fit right behind your dog’s ears. The 2.25 works very well on my 70lb Golden Retriever. Prong collars aren’t for every dog, if this top of the line prong doesn’t work for you after having it fit correctly and used properly, I suggest a Gentle Leader head collar. That too also is amazing and less aversive than the prong.

The dog knows when it’s on!
Have used Spranger Prong Collars for years. Decided to buy this one as it was Stainless Steel as we go to the beach with our Airedale. The non stainless steel model began detaching from her so figured a new one without rust was worth it.After using it, it also began becoming disconnected. After Googling about this I adjusted each prong making the width between the two prongs just a bit wider. This seems to have done the trick as it hasn’t become disconnected since the adjustment.
