No split decision here!
Drill holes. Insert wedges. Tap. Tap. Split. It's that easy. Wedges are solid and well made. Worked well on granite. Use a good 5/8-inch hammer bit for holes. Remember hole needs to be deeper than length of wedge to allow wedge to slide down between outer shims to max depth (head of wedge equal with heads of shims.

Work great, not so durable
These work very well for what they are. They aren’t very durable though, the wedges bent on the first use.

It splits!
I have a 4 foot round, oval granite stone I easily cut into three pieces. Does the job. Durable. I hope to have these wedges for a long time.

The only hard part is drilling the holes
Worked like a charm.

Didn't think they would work but they did.
I was skeptical about how well these would work. I bought them to get rid of a 3x3x3 foot stone in my lawn. If I wasn't careful my mower blades would hit the stone so it had to go. I drilled 5/8 holes in the stone with a rotary hammer drill, inserted the plug wedges and feathers and proceeded to gradually drive them home with a 3 lb hammer. I took my time and suddenly a crack appeared along the line of wedges. It split the rock in two, as advertised. Very satisfied with the performance of these wedges/feathers.

Tools
Worked great for breaking large boulders down to size. Material is a bit soft and deform some with use but not a problem. The O rings don't last worth a day but that's not much of a problem either.Best advice I have is don't be cheap on the drill bits. I find best results with the sds bits made for rock with rebar.

Great Quality - No Need to Buy Again
Took out a 600 lb. boulder without breaking a single wedge or feather. Took a couple of days, but it definitely got the job done.
