Works as should

Great strength for pulling up wooden cellar door. Too difficult to close the on cellar door. It bounced back up and couldn’t be adjusted.

Bought 2 only really needed one.Super sturdy and easy to install. Pay attention to the video and you won't mess up...

Our boat need to be upgraded works excellent on a Yamaha AR255 Ski locker. Cant find them much cheaper anywhere else. Would buy again. Pressure can be tricky make sure you get the right measurements.

I bought a 180lb set of these gas springs. They work, but the problem is the brackets bend as you operate the springs. When I open the lid I attached them to it springs right up, but when I go to close the lid, it bends the mounting brackets where the ball screw bolts onto the bracket. It bends it really badly and then the lid starts to close. It seems the brackets are not rated for the same force as the gas springs. It wouldn’t be a huge deal if I could easily find a heavy duty set of mounting brackets, but after a 1/2 hour of online searching I came up with nothing, at least nothing simple. I’m going to have to fabricate some brackets out of 1/8 or 3/16 inch steel.
