Good DIY product that can replace professional exterminator bills
After years of paying $750+ per year to have mouse control done by exterminator, I decided to do some research and concluded that with a couple hours per year, I could get the same result. These stations have been working great! I combined them with bait from "JT Eaton 709-PN Bait Block Rodenticide Anticoagulant Bait, Peanut Butter Flavor, Green" (also purchased on Amazon). Three of my six Bait Stations were completely empty at ~ 4 weeks so I know they're working. Instructions are a little confusing, but the process was simple: I loaded two bait squares on each of two metal rods and placed the rods horizontally in each bait station (the can also stack, but easier for me to poke the metal rods through and rest the rods horizontally in the station grooves). Mice and rats are territorial so if the bait is being eaten, these are doing there job! Unfortunately, the kit only includes one key, so make sure not to lose it, otherwise it's a $15 replacement.

Well made. So far so good: rats are eating the bait.

Solid buy, key is a tad problematic
I was sick last year and got behind on cleaning, and to avoid bears we put some garbage bag in the garage. Didnt realize it at the time but they attracted rats. By the time I figured it out they had done tremendous damage to our electrical system and I would put up cameras and see them move through the house at night. I like rodents normally but not in this case.I did try live traps at first, I would catch 4 5 a night, after relocating 30 rats I knew it wasn't feasible. I spoke to pest control people but they charged a fortune for stuff I could do myself.3 months of these traps, and about 20 lbs of posion (many rats goes through the bars fast), we are now rat free. Of course, I used the copper mesh to seal holes, I blocked entrances of burrows and left these bait boxes in suitable spots.I checked the bait once a week and reloaded as needed. The plastic key is annoying, you really have to press it down hard. The rats or something else that wantef the bait has almost chewed a third entrance to one.We have dogs and placed these in safe spaces and have had no issues. This buy saved me a lot of money and Ill continue to use them consistently now to also get rid of mice and any other rat coming in until we can redo and properly seal off the house. (We bought a fixer upper). The reason for 4 stars is the annoying grey key/lock mechanism.

Love the build Quality and USA Made
I returned this item, because it was way too big. Lucky (touch wood) I have not seen rats yet. Build quality is phenomenal. I just did not want to start killing squirrels etc using this contraption, because it will be big enough to have them go in. On the other hand if you have issues with squirrels this will fit your bill.
