Don't expect kids shuffling the cards like a PRO!
This is my super honest review based on my observation (when my son get the deck) and my personal review too.I bought this for my son as an early birthday present (he will turn to 7 next month - yay!!). I had to teach him on GMeet how to cleansing the deck, shuffling, and draw 3 card spread. This is his 1st deck and he never see me or anyone reading Tarot. So, that's why I am so excited to give this deck for him.Alright, based on my observation, YESSS the cards are BIG! That's true! And it's so cute to see his tiny hands holding the cards. And this BIG deck is good for him to see the details in the card. I think it's good for kids to start the reading because the images ALMOST similar with Rider Waite. To be honest I am a bit bother with the gender in the card, for example: The Fool, The Magician, The Hermit, etc - the gender change to female - and it gives me a feeling that this Tarot deck is for little girl only. I meant,, I know there's no gender in Tarot, but I prefer that the gender remain the same with Rider Waite. So, little boy won't confuse when he is getting bigger and gonna learns the history of Tarot. BUT since Theresa is my favourite reader (I like her vibes, her dedication, and her high standard for decks), so I am always telling myself that change gender on Tarot For Kids is just teach kids to learn see things differently - like think about new perspectives. I am still convincing myself about this. Phew...So, anyhow.. I don't mind with the BIG card stock. How about shuffling the card?Well.. I taught him shuffle the cards using smooshing method (aka washing machine method, corgi, chemmy, etc). Smooshing method is lay the cards all upside and randomly mix them by swirling them with his hands. It's more fun for my son. Well.. I read reviews saying difficult to shuffle the cards. Hey come on.. Don't expect kids shuffling the cards like PRO, okay?!When I asked my son to draw 3 card spread, he got 7 of Coins Upright, The Moon Queen Upright, and 9 of Coins Upright. He took the pic (and it's a bit blur lol). Oh yeah he likes to find out the meaning from the book. And he read it aloud. He even read the Reversed card lol. So,, yeah.. That's my super honest review(s) and this is also my first review on Amazon.

Fantastic illustrations
As a professional psychic I was curious after decades of the author blogging, what The Tarot Lady(author theresa reed) would come up with for a deck. I really like it. There are mostly traditional designs so it doesnt cross the line into censorship. Example, 3 swords still depicts swords thru the heart. But 10 of swords, the swords go into the ground. But the changes ms. Reed did make were skillful and respectful of ms. Coleman Smith's original art. Example, devil replaced by 2 bulls and called, the bully. Tower is still there (removed depiction of impailed humans), lovers replaced by best friends, and hanged man replaced by a child hanging from their knees on a tree branch, patience. Its genius because the illustration are different but the concept generally is unchanged. I love them for youth, yes, but anyone who feels Intimidated or turned off by the traditional coleman smith deck, or is worried about them being "a tool of the devil" haha. This is more digestible and accessible without compromising the integrity. The cards are large and you can't shuffle them with the same ease as traditional sized tarot cards, is my only hardship. Very happy to have purchased these, and that's saying something since I do not own more than one tarot deck. Glad I made room for one more.

What a beautiful gift for adults and kids alike
I recently bought this tarot deck not having had any experience with tarot or really knowing what it was. I guess I sort of thought of tarot as some sort of hokey fortune telling prop. I got it because I was (and still am) planning to use it as part of my Halloween costume this year.It turns out, though, that it’s not hokey or artificial at all. I’m finding that it’s actually a really cool tool for having beautiful and important conversations with my children and with myself as well…almost like a guided meditation. It has helped give me insight into what is happening in my kids’ lives: helped them put what they’re experiencing into words, and guided me in asking useful questions to reveal how they’re thinking/feeling about things. My kids are feeling seen and heard and I am so grateful. The cards use classic archetypes to help kids make sense of big world things - just as we read fairy tales to our kids when they are little to help them learn how the world works or to teach them important life lessons, tarot, too, uses pages, knights, queens, kings, fools, magicians, towers, etc. It helps kids see the bigger picture and work out the puzzles they’re confronting in their daily lives. Regular practice also helps kids learn how to identify and listen to their gut feelings. They learn to trust their own intuition to help them make difficult decisions or to see them through challenging times. I would have LOVED this sort of thing as a tween/teen. What a gift. There are no doubt several other tools out there for this sort of open dialogue between parents and kids, but since every kid/person is different and what works for one isn’t necessarily what works for another, I thought I’d share my experience. This deck is so beautiful and thoughtful and kind. I can see us using it for many years to come.

The young ones wanting to learn will love this
I bought these for my son because he had interest in Tarot when he was younger. He is 13 now and loves these cards. His favorite thing to do is to ask if I want a reading. This was a great deck for him to start to understand. This opened his intuition up ALOT.
