Garmin Nuvi 750 755t 760 765t 770 780 775t 780 785t OEM Cradle GPS Holder

I have a NUVI 750 and the GTM 20 Traffic cable with a lifetime subscription. For a while now the connection has been a problem. I would have to wiggle it several times to get it to charge the NUVI.On a recent trip to Boston I tried to get it to work in the rental car and it just would not work. Luckily the NUVI's battery lasted long enough to get me to the hotel.I started looking for solutions and ran across this cradle. After reading the reviews I decided to order one. I was not sure if it was the cradle or the cable but this was the cheaper option.I ordered it on Thursday and got it Monday morning using regular shipping. I connected it to the Nuvi and took it to the car to test. It worked perfectly. My GTM 20 powered the unit and the traffic feature worked like a champ.I am very happy with the quality of the cradle and the service.

This cradle is a good item to stock up on. Since I don't want to invest in a new GPS unit, this cradle recieves the brunt of the wear and tear. I am constantly taking the GPS in and out of the cradle whenever I get in and out of my car. And I like how this cradle fits into the 'beanbag' friction mount instead of the suction cup that hung from my windshield. The windshield mount was always losing suction & falling, so I went with the friction mount, and my whole GPS system is less banged-about now. I would buy this product again from this buyer.

Because the design is a poor one. Garmin designed this to fail. The surface mount connector will fail due to lack of strain relief. Vender was fine. Ill be opening it up to see if I can add some mechanical strength. Poor review is just based on design of connector that goes to the cable. Shame on you garmin you used to take pride in your work.

One day the GPS was working fine on the windshield mounted power cradle and the next it wasn't. The giveaway that something was wrong was actually two things; when I turned the truck off, the GPS didn't ask whether I wanted IT to power off also, or stay on. Also, soon after loading maps, it said that accessory power was required for the feature.A Google search showed that the cradle was the most likely suspect. Sure enough, this one fixed the problem and the GPS is once again securely mounted and working as expected.Anybody who would throw away a $300 GPS because the $20 cradle has failed either has too much money or too little common sense.

At the end of June 2012, our 2005 Garmin Nuvi GPS starting having charge issues. My husband soon realized that it was just the part that you sat the GPS in that was worn, so he asked me to try and find a replacement part. As usual, I came to Amazon.com, did a search and found this part: GPS Cradle Holder Compatible with Garmin Nuvi. I ordered it and it arrived in 3 days. Now, here it is 6 months later and our GPS is still working beautifully! So, if you have an old GPS with this same problem, don't throw out your old GPS (Unless you just want a new one); order this part and save yourself some time and money.

I have the 755T. Which Garmin has replaced 3 times for me over the past 15 months or so for one reason or the other. But I love the features on my garmin and was dismayed when the connection came loose. The final straw was a couple of weeks ago when I got lost because I could not even get it to come on! I totally forgot that I could have used my computer cable and just use the GPS without the adapter. DUH!So I was first going to replace the adapter and cradle because the connection was so loose. Then I read the reviews here and realized I should start by replacing the cradle. I cancelled my order and replaced just the cradle. Especially since the replacement adapter didn't have the traffic connection. And as lame as that is sometimes, it has saved me on occasion. Saved myself $12. The fit was perfect! My traffic icon was back ( it had disappeared, along with the GPS' ability to even stay on!)So thanks for sharing the info! I'm also thinking I should buy another just in case this one comes loose in the next year or so, and then they stop making them!

Works as advertised AND as reviewed. I too suffered a problem where my Nuvi 765 stopped charging in the cradle. I rummaged through the reviews on both the charging cord (which I thought was the problem) and this cradle holder. In these reviews I saw others had experienced these problems and only needed to buy a new $23 cradle and not the $80 GTM20 cord.THANKS fellow reviewers.OBTW: Amazon Prime standard 2-day free shipping turned into next-day delivery at no additional charge.

This was the exact replacement part and it has Garmin stamped on it also. I was about to through the Garmin away because I though that it had an internal problem for not charging. I never dreamed that the wiring problem was the connector on the original cradle holder. The natural pulling on the power cord at the connector will break again i'm sure.To keep this from happening again, I drilled a hole in the center of the cradle holder, missing its inner circuit board and inserted a small screw and nut with a small cable holder and put the power wire through the added cable holder. Now any pulling or jerking of the power cord will be at the cable holder and not at the plug connector.
