Solid mud guards for my '07 Tacoma
I bought my '07 Tacoma used, without the front mud flaps. The result of years without splash protection is an incredibly rusty frame. In my efforts to prolong the life of my beloved rust-bucket truck, I found these mud guards. They're a fraction of the cost and a little shorter than the original mud flaps. They're very rigid and sturdy, should outlast the truck.Installation isn't very difficult at all. The kit uses the OEM hex screws (3 on each side) and includes body panel clips and screws (2 sets for each side). The included metal clips and screws are far superior to the dumb black plastic clips the manufacturer uses. Those plastic clips break and belong in the trash! The lower clip and screw is installed normally and the upper clip is used like a nut on the end of the screw. They do not rub on my 265/70R17 AT tires, though the truck has a 2" lift. I've been driving with these installed for well over a month without any rubbing issues at all. They don't look bad with the OEM rear mud flaps either. These mud guards should help protect the bottom of my truck from much of the water, snow, salt, mud, rocks, debris and other random road juices I encounter... though I wouldn't take my truck on Hell's Revenge in Moab with these on. If that ever happened I suppose I could take them off and use them as shovels for when I get stuck.

Reasonable replacement with a bit of know how
I've always hated my original 13 Tacoma front mud flaps, they are really about 2 inches too long. While they did offer good protection, anytime you went over a speed bump they bottomed out on the flap, and that's just with me in the driver seat let alone passengers.I saw pretty good reviews on these Husky's so bought the front since my left front is cracked anyway. They came in a pretty timely fashion and just installed them today. Instructions are pretty decent, comes with the flaps, a couple screws for each side and a small anti wear paint strip, kudos for including that part. My only drawback on these was one of them not pre drilled at all, so I had to do that myself, and the second one the holes are fairly close but one of them, the most inside hole was a good hole and a half off. Yes I tried to very loosely install all screws first to give wiggle room for last hole but no way, so I had to re drill that hole.Other than that, we'll see how they hold up but yeah, they are definitely a couple inches shorter than stock so should not be bottoming out, while still giving protection.

Good product, comes with all needed hardware and easy to install.
I purchased these Husky (No relation to the Home Depot brand) mud guards because one of my stock guards snapped as I backed it over a small curb. The stock ones that come on the Toyota Tacoma in '10 are not as good as these. I will likely be purchasing a pair for the rear as well. The Husky guards are a bit shorter as is seen in the photo, but they also cover more area in the wheel well and inturn, protect more of your frame near there. The company claims they are laser fitted and it appears they did a good job with the design there. The stock guard is on the left. The Husky is on the right. They are easy to install and come with all the necessary hardware. You do not need to order anything separate or take extra care when removing the old guards. The stock hardware is flimsy and I found pieces of it were already broken off from normal wear and tear anyways. I was only able to recover 2 of them in total for both guards. This won't be an issue with these as they use #10 SEM screws and U-clips instead.I was able to get them both on with only turning the wheels, no need to remove them. I have made no rating for durability yet, but Husky guarantees, "they will not break or tear under normal usage during the life of the motor vehicle in/on which they are installed."They are also made in the USA, if where you spend your money matters to you.

Fit my 2007 Tacoma perfectly
My original Tacoma front wheel driver-side mudflap tore off at 65 mph on a regular highway. It was just the wind that tore it off. I looked into what Tacoma mudflaps would cost from the Toyota dealership. Just one, (not a pair) was close to $95 (and that does not include the 3 per mudflap, plastic clips @ $2 a piece). I shopped around and found a universal pair of mudflaps for $17 at an auto parts store, but the modification to the mudflaps to make them fit (and they still probably would not look right) was a big turnoff, so I kept looking. I finally ran across these "Husky Liners Custom Fit Front Mudguards", Model 56931, on Amazon for $38 and ordered them. They fit perfectly, and I did not have to drill a single hole, they installed just like the originals. The hardware that comes with them does not work, due to my 2007 Tacoma having a plastic fender liner in addition to the mudflaps. But the original mudflap machine screws (three per mudflap) can be reused. The 3 plastic clips on the original mudflaps will probably be destroyed taking off the remnants of the old mudflap, so you will need to replace them (the Husky Mudguards only need two for each mudflap). I found identical replacement plastic clips on Amazon offered as "15 Toyota Mudguard & Panel Clips Camry Tundra 4-Runner", manufacture number 2947337 for $10. These were identical to the original clips for my 2007 Tacoma mudflaps. Since there are 15 there are enough plastic clips to replace all 4 mudflaps with extras to spare. So for $48, (1/4 the cost of buying the "genuine Toyota front mudflaps"), I was able to replace my original 2007 Tacoma front mudflaps, with an after-market product which looks better, is built better, looks a heck of a lot more durable, and fits just as well as the original.
