Incredible
This lens is truly incredible for the price. Incredibly sharp images. Better than my Nikon lens. The auto-focus isn’t perfect but still snappier and quieter than some older lenses I’ve used. Build quality is pretty on par with the kit lens, it also looks like a Nikon lens besides the logo.

Worth It!
Just converted from a Nikon D800 to the Nikon Z6II. I primarily shoot cityscape, landscape, and street. Specifically prime lens for street, I already had a Meike 85mm f/1.8 (noise as heck) and Nikkor Nifty 50mm f1.8 G. I bought an native Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8 and the Nikon FTZ II adapter for my f/mount lens. I wanted to add a 35mm to my gear for street AND now videography low light filming w/ the Z6II. Didn't want to spend $700 on a native Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S lens for $700 NOR $500 on the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G ED. Debated if I wanted to spend $340 (Black Friday sale) on a Viltrox 35mm f/1.8. But I stubbled upon this Yongnuo 35mm f/2.0 for $100 (!!!). I was a little suspect. I read reviews on another Amazon page with more ratings/reviews. So I went ahead and moved forward on the purchase because of the PRICE. Let me tell you... IT'S WORTH IT! It's literally a knockoff of my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 G, same body and size. Even the HB-47 lens hood that came with the 50mm fits like a glove. 2 things I was worried about: 1) Will the Nikon FTZ II recognize/compatible with the Yongnuo lens? YES! Just as response as my Nikkor 50mm on the FTZ. 2) Is going to sound like a rejecting dollar in a quarter matchine at the laundromat like my Meike 85mm f/1.8? NOPE! Just as quiet as the 50mm. You'll hear mechanical noise going inside the lens (as all the f/mount lens does on the FTZ adapter) but it's not "rejecting dollar" noisy. Lol A hot mic probably can pic it up. But I'm only using this lens primary for B-roll footage. So sounds won't matter. Also this lens has solid starburst (shown in pic) at max f/16 if that's your cup of tea.OVERALL, if you're reading this looking to find an affordable 35mm lens, this is IT! I haven't pixel-peeped the image quality. AGAIN, I don't have intentions to use this for cityscape or landscape. Only street and video (post production color grading can fix/cover any details). So super quality images by the minute detail isn't what I'm going for with this lens. Hope this review helps.

Good
I originally bought a 50mm but soon realized that a 35mm would suite my style of photography better. This lens is sharp but it does take a minute to focus and there have been times where I’ve had to turn my camera off and then on again because the lens was not focusing. But, for the price, it produces good quality images once it focuses.

great lens!
this is a great inexpensive lens. it does not come with a lens hood. I purchased the Nikon HB-47 lens hood and it fit perfectly, it did not cause any vignetting. very happy purchase!

Punches Above It’s Weight!
Purchased this lens to use with an older CCD sensor Nikon D200 for street photography.Build quality is impressive, was not expecting it to be higher quality than lower end Nikkor models. Metal mounting ring, glass was perfect to the eye, focus ring is smooth and does not wiggle.Autofocus functions as it should for F mount cameras. Overall very smooth focus.Very impressed with these and bought more for my other cameras. I wish Yongnuo offered a wider variety of lense options! This one is a no-brainer if you are looking for fixed 35mm or 50mm lenses.
