This was a very good starter set to get into building your 28mm Napoleonic armies. This set gives a good value for building two starter armies for either gaming or dioramas. The set includes plenty of foot soldiers plus a complement of French cavalry and 1 canon set. Of course it has a detailed Black Powder second edition rule book which is very comprehensive, plus a cheat sheet. The builds are very straight forward with not too many pieces , typically 3 to complete a foot soldier. There is a lot of figures to paint when done so keep that in mind. However, the detail is very fine in the unpainted raw, to be honest, and you can use them immediately with our need to paint for gaming.Great way to get in and start your armies.

My son spent his Birthday money on this set of play soldiers - they did not reflect what was on the box! They were small plastic unpainted soldiers, he was devastated. This is a scam in our opinion and the contents should be better described.Not happy at all!

This boxed set is best for use as a one sided army but does afford options for use as a two player package. Fit my needs perfect to supplement my army with plenty of options.
