SOLES Medical Arm Sling Shoulder Immobilizing Velpeau Bandage Adult (SLS511AD)

Having dislocated my shoulder and Broken it in 3 places just three days before flying to Croatia, getting the bus to the port and the ferry to Hvar I was in a good deal of pain and not sure I could make the journey. I would have stayed at home but the journey was for my youngest daughter's wedding. It was bank hol weekend so didn't get to the fracture clinic. The only support for the arm was a collar and cuff made in A&E. it all happened on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday I went on Amazon and ordered this immobiliser. It arrived on Monday. It's not easy to get on at first when you are in pain but the relief when the shoulder is padded, splinted and immobilised is immense. I was able to make the journey, enjoy the wedding and help the recovery of my broken wing! The down side is it gets very hot. In the high temperatures of Hvar this was definitely a negative - like walking around in my own personal sauna! However that is a small price to pay for the comfort and security this device afforded me. I ordered 3 types of sling. The others were no use to me. Had I had time to trial them I would have got 2 of these. I am ordering another so there is one on and one in the wash. If your shoulder is broken put up with the sweaty feel because this is the best device!

My shoulder is broken and previously I bought a regular semi-protecting sling with one strap. My elbow was hanging and I felt an extreme pain for a couple of weeks. This one, with MANY straps, and totally adjustable is PERFECT for fractured or broken limbs as you can adjust strength, hight etc and the material is strong and not too stretchy so it prevents the painful movement and works nearly like a cast. Today I woke up first time without crazy sore broken shoulder bone!!! Highly recommended!!!

Order came on time itI thought it would help hospital one rubbed in places.I tried every way but every time you sitdown it rides up so the front panel ends up under your chin no matter how many times you do it, I'm disappointed. It seems to be quite large not what i thought it would be. Another one that doesnt fit propey,think it would fit man better.

Who ever had problems with muscles in shoulder know how big pain it is (basically you can do NOTHING with your hand). Thanks to shoulder immobilizing I was able to sleep and work. And recovery wasn't so painful. My advice is don't try to save money on your health, it's not worth.

Bit fiddly but helped husband

What a complete waste of money!!! I had rotator cuff surgery a week ago and bought a second sling so that I could wash the one from the hospital. Also I wanted one I could put on myself when I have nobody to help me. On first wearing it fitted nice and I was pleased. However, after an hour I had to readjust as it started to come loose. It also started to ‘bunch up’ after a couple of hours. I noticed the next day that it started to go nobbly. I washed the sling (as per instructions) and it washed ok. It does keep my shoulder to my side if I keep readjusting. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money as it wasn’t cheap.

A little expensive, and it took a little getting used to but well worth the effort. It spreads the load far better than a standard sling and can thus be worn comfortably for longer.

great product, worth every penny. its given me so much comfort since wearing it. at last i have had a good nights sleep. I highly recommed this product.
