There will be a slight aroma with this but this is from the ingredients.

Q: how do you treat the athletes foot if you have broken skin? as it says do not use on broken skin?

You will be fine as long as the skin isn't broken to the point that it is bleeding. If your athletes foot is so bad that you have been bleeding, then go to the doctor's.
