Actually Works
Had my doubts about this and only for the nice wood finish that I decided to give it a try. Prior to this I've been using the Vinyl Styl products. And they just did ok. But this product. Really does the job. Unlike your typical Walmart microfiber towels, this one does not create any static! Not sure what special materials are use here but it does what these things were meant to do. Clean the dust off the dang record. Worth every penny.

Cuts the static, even after using manual wet wash systems!
I run all of my album purchases (mostly VG+ or better used vinyl, but also new) through a Record Friend wash system, which knocks off all the grime, vinyl shavings and most of the grease from fingerprints. It's OK, it's no vac system but it does a good enough job. However, I found it tends to leave a lot of... something, lint? in the grooves, which comes out on the first play. The stylus tends to pull it out, depositing crud on the album after playing. And the amount of static pops tends to be pretty high on the first play as well.I bought the GrooveWasher to see if I could get more of that dust and lint off after pulling LPs out of the sleeves before playing. I was really surprised at how well this method controls static on the record! I put the record on the turntable, put the cover over the label, and squeeze off three light pumps of the included cleaning fluid around the disc. I then hand-turn the record two times around, pulling the liquid with the terry-covered cleaner, then rolling it to the dry part of the cleaner I spin it twice around again. I then start the turntable spinning, wait 10-15 seconds for any more liquid on the LP to dry out, then set the needle down. HUGE decrease in pops compared to just cleaning wet with the Record Friend, and I don't see much (if any) of that leftover residue!Since this is a touch-up cleaning when used this way, you don't need to push hard, you don't need to scrub, so it's not likely to hurt your player, break any belts. It's pretty low-tech, but does a great job at touch-up. I also noticed the included G2 fluid does a better job removing finger grease than the wet bath system did. I did not notice any build-up on my needle after playing about 30 album sides cleaned as above; I use an Onzow stylus gel cleaner after about 6-8 record side plays, and I have not seen any buildup get pulled off my Ortofon 2M Red since using the GrooveWasher. I suppose YMMV, but I can say this fluid works every bit as well as the old DiscWasher product in the 70s and 80s (which I owned back in the day).I'll be ordering refills when it comes time, without a doubt. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly effective!
Bought a used vinyl which was not in good condition. A little better after using a disc washer system. After using the Groovewasher - it’s reached a point where I can enjoy the music. It’s not perfect, but the improvement is definitely worth the price I paid , and it’s easy to use before playing the the record.

Very clean vinyl
I have recently started to listen to my old vinyl records again. I had a cleaning system similar to this one years ago and was satisfied with it. Compared to the price of some of the record cleaning machines ( which I had no idea existed ) this is very reasonably priced. Does it work, yup really well. My LP's hadn't been out of their covers in years and needed a good cleaning. If your vinyl is damaged this won't fix that. Mine took a couple of cleanings to get them clean after all this time but they really sound nice now. Hope this helps.

Great for Occasional Deep Cleans
Quality built (not like that would be too hard). The logo embossed on the wooden handle is nice for being able to keep track of which side of the brush you are using! Really got to the finger marks and nicotine stains from when I used to smoke. Easy to see the debris/grease being removed. The included cleaner spray bottle is not large - I used it up an after about 140 LPs and had to buy a refill to finish the job. But now I'm set for a couple of years of occasional cleaning and handling additions to the library.

Takes me back to the "Discwasher" of the '70's
I have no idea where my discWasher kit from the '70's is anymore, and I was afraid I could never replace it, especially after reading many reviews for other products online that seemed like they were ineffective or worse, damaging to vinyl. Then I saw the GroveWasher and gave it a try. It delivered just like my old DiscWasher used to! The only drawback is that it doesn't come with that nice walnut base, but that IS available separately. And there's no plastic cover like the old DiscWasher. But I found a small clear plastic food storage container at Wally World that does that job just fine! The GrooveWasher really gets deep into the record's grooves and gets out the crud, you can hear the difference! And the G2 solution cleans well without deteriorating the vinyl like an alcohol-based cleaner could, which is what some of the other kits apparently use.

Works better than expected
I recently bought two turntables and a mixer to mix records at home (needed something to do during these Covid times), and of course I've been collecting records to play on them. All the records have been used and some have been in pretty rough shape. This cleaner not only cleaned the dirty records but there were a few records that didn't look dirty but sounded awful with some very distracting pops and snaps. I honestly didn't expect the cleaner to be able to make those records sound any better, but sure enough after following the directions and cleaning them off they sounded great. I have a little over 100 records in my collection to far and this bottle should be enough to clean them all. Will definitely buy this again next time I need to clean my collection.
