Works perfectly, just large
This works perfectly and I love that it comes with a metal bowl. The system is easy to program.It is quite large, which is good for not having to fill it but it is a bit awkward in the space I have it in (on my cat tree, away from the puppers). I would recommend checking the dimensions for your space.It is a bit weird to get the portions right. I used the guide (for one 10 lb cat) and it said to program to 4 x 2 daily, which was twice the amount I needed.

Better for an indoor cat
We got this for our outdoor kitty for when we go on vacation. You can adjust the feeding amounts. It comes out loud and does scare some of the cats. The metal tray is too slippery. Its hard for him to get the food out because it just slips. It absolutely attracts raccoons, really badly. When there is no food out they can still smell it and came and tried to break it apart. So we cant leave it out for more than a couple days, we need something that can contain a little better which is a huge bummer for when we are gone and dont have a pet sitter. If you have indoor cats than this is FINE!!! But if you are home the sound will probably scare you too. We use it with only batteries so that is a real help as well if you are doing outdoor. or dont have an outlet nearby.
