Seems to promote healing
It's difficult to be 100% confident, but the dressing does appear to promote wound healing.

Not really effective as an underneath layer
Firstly, I tried three different brands. Of the three Ceeport was the best, and Bestek solidly at the bottom. It did not look or feel like Alginate, and barely lasted a day, in other words, not very absorbent. Rather than throw it away, I decided to use it as a top layer over the Alginate and Silver Honey doing the actual work. The other brand I tried was Everlit, which worked well, but Ceeport had a clear window which allowed me to see what was left in the envelope without opening it.

Decent product, use appropriately.
I use products like this a lot because I am prone to developing skin ulcers on my legs. Most items like this come with a package insert giving more detailed information on what it is and how to use it; this one does not. If you are unfamiliar with Calcium Alginate and Silver Calcium Alginate dressings, you might want to consult a wound care specialist. These dressings are not for your everyday skinned knee or scraped elbow. These are for weeping wounds like skin ulcers, burns, skin grafts and donor sites, and possibly surgical wounds where discharge management is an issue. If you are unsure whether this is the appropriate dressing for your wound, again, I suggest you speak to a wound care specialist.I like that the lot number, date of manufacture, and expiration date are clearly printed on the box *and* each individually packaged dressing. These kinds of things typically do not sit around my house long enough to expire, but I do like to use the oldest first and I want to know when I receive the product that I'm not getting someone's soon-to-expire overstock. Not wild about the fact that it is manufactured in China.

Quality Option for Wound Care
I tend to keep silver calcium alginate wound dressings around the house as I tend to also have a lot of wound care issues. I'm a paraplegic and double amputee and my limbs are very vulnerable to wounds. So, I was anxious to try this 10-pack of 4"x4" wound dressings from BESTEK.These function exactly as you might hope. They are easily cut to a size that works with the wound. They apply easily and absorb a good amount of drainage. These dressings are individually wrapped with 10 to a box. They are sterile and non-woven. To use, some sort of gauze or pad is applied over the dressing and secured. I've been pleased with absorbency and I've been pleased with the ability to remove them without causing any further trauma to my wound. In terms of value, these are mid-range but I do find them very effective at doing what they need to do for my wounds and I do see my wounds responding to them. Silver is known for its healing properties and physical therapist at wound care often uses silver calcium alginate. This is definitely a great one for me to have on hand. I'll definitely continue to use.

No different than any other gauze I've tried.
I have a nasty gaping staph infection on my ankle, which came about 15 days ago. I haven't been able to walk since so I've been desperately trying all kinds of first-aid prducts to help the healing process to get myself back on my feet. Now these don't make any speedy recovery promises or anything like that, but they're supposed to absorb the fluids that continuously drain out and they're not supposed to stick. I've used them a couple times and yes they do too stick, I'm sure everybody knows how nice that feels. And their absorbency isn't any better than any other gauze I've used. So regardless of what you call it, from my experience it's still just gauze. It's better than nothing of course, but I wouldn't choose it if I were shopping. Just saying.

Perfect for us
These worked so well that we got more. Even added some to our emergency go bags. Silver promotes healing. Teese are a great I’d size

Incredibly soft and absorbent, just the best!
I have a condition where sores on my leg will produce fluid and I go through bandages like crazy. I ordered these because they were supposed to be much better than the ones in the store. I can tell you these are absolutely fantastic. They are hospital grade and the 4x4 size is perfect for my needs. They are so very soft and don’t stick at all. I change them so much less because they work so well. Very, very happy and have already ordered more.
