Finally a drain pan that doesn't blow.
This thing is great. It has a nice long throw to catch that first spout of oil. It has tall sides around the catch so it doesn't overflow. Then once the oil slows, you can turn it sideways to catch the drips along the underbody. The only improvement I would suggest is a ridge to hold the oil filter at an angle so it will drain fully. And it's Made in the USA.

It’s a drain pan
It’s a drain pan. It’s a good size. It holds a lot and when you have to leave something in it stored it doesn’t leak out. It’s a good design.

Would not buy again
Light weight, thin plastic, and when changing oil, the speed of the oil builds up in the collection area almost over flowing, and it also is not very well ventilated, once every 5 sec that will collection pan will burp and splatter small amounts of oil.

Great pan for oil changes
I had one of these for like 30 years and gave it to my son after hundreds of uses. I tried to use a regular catch pan, but that was horrible. So I was lucky to find this one again. Make sure you remove the end cap prior to draining oil into it, otherwise it will “burp” oil out of the two inlets. And take it slow when you first remove the pan drain plug as it is shallow.

Best Model Out There
I have used this oil drain kit for almost 20 year. I bought my first one in the early 2000's but had to leave it behind when we moved. I found it again here on Amazon. I like it because it reduces splash back when the oil comes out of the car and drops it into a reservoir so when you need to move it the oil is contained and can't spill.

Part missing.
Guess it would be too much to expect the drain to have a cap on it? Shows one in the picture!
