Can the marvins magic amazing changing pens be used on this?

I doubt it. I have those too and those are for paper. They are not dry erase type of markers.

What type of replacement pens can be used on the pad?

Neon dry erase markers, window markers, or "Neon Pens for Light Up LED Board."

Can regular highlighter markers be used if the pens dry out?

I would assume so; however, dry erase markers or window markers seem to be a better fit. Expo even has neon dry erase markers. Amazon has some dual sided neon LED pens that work too.
