How thick is it? Water cleaning is possible

They are very thin. Got them for our rec room, as the original carpet tiles we have now are discontinued. They were about 1/2 the thickness of the ones I have, so I had to send these back. I would think spot cleaning might be ok, but they might be too thin for a regular cleaning.

I would think so as long as the metal is clean.

Could I stick these to a surface and use them to store items with velcro?

Absolutely, I lined the inside of my gun safe doors with this stuff and have 150+ velcro patches displayed all over it. Velcro sticks to these carpet tiles very well.
