Rime Magic: Phonics-Powered Prevention and Intervention for All Students

As a Literacy Coach and Reading Recovery teacher, I am HIGHLY recommending this product to all teachers/staff K-Adult who teach reading or support students who strive to be readers. It works fast because the student(s) see it helping them. Students who start out disengaged or with low self-confidence quickly train their brain to see the rime and are able to add beginnings and endings right away.Rime Magic can be done as part of your Morning Meeting for 5-10 minutes, in small groups before guided reading, or one-on-one. It is also an excellent start of lessons with resource room or special education support staff and will likely result in students needing less support in reading because they have trained their eyes and brain to understand how to solve words and read using Sharon Zinke's to/with/by reading acceleration instructional strategy for reading grade-level texts.Buy it, read the short guidebook, watch the videos on Scholastic and YouTube, seek out her Thursday Zoom sessions, but do it. It works! Kids must have time to read independently during the time they are with you. Hoping they will read independently at home is not a plan that leads to kids becoming great readers. This program is used in Title I schools to improve word recognition, spelling, and automaticity. It is excellent and easy to use if you watch the videos that show how to implement the program. Read the teacher guide. Kids love this program, too. I am a reading specialist and it has increased success for my students.

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist that works with adults that have acquired dyslexia and also aphasia. This product is a great tool in helping them to not only read again but to speak. The connection to reading and speaking is often overlooked in Speech Therapy but most of my sessions address reading aloud, forming motor pathways for speaking through phonological training. This product is a great item that I use often along with my other Speech Therapy "tools of the trade." Thank you for a great product!

Using this daily with my 1st graders and its helping to expose them to rimes we haven't gotten to yet in our phonics contiuum so it's helping to differentiate for higher students that are ready to add endings and blends to the rimes. Great product, easy to implement, takes 5-7 minutes daily!

I enjoy using this. in my classroom, however, my Rime Magic was missing the power packs. I've contacted numerous times on amazon and was never able to get the power packs. I don't recommend this.

LOVE this! I have only been using it with my students for a couple of weeks and already it is helping them to decode multi-syllable words. Shocked to see how effective it is! :) Worth the money! (Although we totally laminated the entire set!) I sent the link to my special education teacher-friends as well.

This program has helped my child grow leaps and bounds in reading! I am so excited for the continual growth we will see while using this.

A tried-and-true resource for any classroom. this program helps struggling readers get caught up significantly by teaching them phonics. It was easy to implement and the students enjoyed it.
