My young son was terrified of going to get his hair cut, it was a real struggle. Eventually i bought this to cut his hair myself at home, i was able to use these in the bath which quickly we overcome his fear of cutters!! We are now able to attend the barbers where it is done properly.

Great purchase, All 3 of my son's hair is now clipped š
Bought this mainly for my 3 year old who is autistic. No hairdressers where I live will do his hair claiming he's too young or they don't feel comfortable dealing with an autistic child for fear of hurting him. So I've had to cut his hair best I can with scissors, with some success. At first try he went nuts, the clippers are still a bit too loud even though they claim to be quiet. So I did his brothers hair (one is 11, the other 13). Worked like a charm, although it can get caught temporarily in thicker hair, especially on top. Never used clippers in my life before and am pretty happy with the results (see pics). After watching his brothers get theirs cut, my 3 year old then let me try again...SUCCESS! He wouldn't let me tidy up round his ears and neck, but this is the best cut he's had in forever, therefore I definitely recommend you give them a try, especially at the generous price. Hair does seem to get stuck in the clippers so cleaning after each use is essential, although don't expect to be able to get every strand out.

Great for autistic son - a real game changer
Very quiet, makes minimal noise so are great for my non verbal 3.5 year old autistic son who hates loud noises. He also hates the itchy feel of cut hair on him, so that combined with loud noise mean massive nuclear meltdowns. I let him touch these clippers first whilst turned on so he got used to them before I attempted a trim. He wouldn't touch my normal noisy clippers or allow them anywhere near him. Clippers are also safer to use than scissors as my son constantly tries to stick his fingers in the scissor blades where he can't so much with clippers as they have narrower blades guarded by hair length attachments. The only thing is that these attachments provided are quite short but I used the clippers more like scissors to safely trim the sides and front whilst keeping his long hair on top. He still didn't like it but due to them being quieter than normal clippers and safer than scissors, he wasnt as nearly as bad as normal and I actually managed to trim his hair for the first time in 1.5 years! These clippers are amazing! A real game changer. Now he can't hide behind his hair to avoid our communication attempts!

Could be better
Not as quiet as I would have liked and not powerful. Once put on full power it is loud. Not sure charge lasts long either.

Unreal! šš¼
After looking at lots of different clippers for kids with sensory needs i settled on these and i have never been so happy! My 4yr old has sensory issues, especially with noises and touch (please someone invent a touchless way of clipping toenails!) and has refused a haircut for the best part of a year. Before that we were able to coax him into letting his favourite person cut it three times (his granny), but has refused from it.Honestly these clippers have the sound and feel of an electric toothbrush but still cut! I showed my son them, let him turn the on and off, showed him the pictures on it and told him they were special clippers for children. After 2 days he let us give him a full cut šš¼ His hair is so thick but he was happy to let us work away the whole 10mins.Now every childs sensory limits will be different, but for quietness and low vibration, these are well worth the money. Can't speak to the longevity or battery life yet.

Game Changer
I donāt normally write reviews, but felt I had to for this. My 3 year old refuses to have his haircut. He is hysterical, itās been so embarrassing and as a single mum Iāve cried my eyes out over this situation. He creates so much, you think he was going to his death. Itās really that bad. At the weekend it took my mum and neighbour to pin him down. And we was all crying as itās so distressing for everyone involved. That same day, I came across these clippers. I was sceptical and was told I was āwasting my moneyā. I ordered them, and tried them straight away. I had a few whimpers from himā¦. Then nothing. He stood still watching his iPad as I finished off the mess that was his haircut from the day previous. Theyāre not totally silent, but so so quiet. These are a godsend. Presented well, and good quality. How long they last, I donāt know, but Iād happily keep buying these to make my sonās hair cutting experience an enjoyable one. Amazing, so happy.
