Big & high-quality screen, fantastic battery life, dual SIM, memory card slot
I don't make a lot of voice calls (but call quality is good) , and I don't play games on the phone or use social media. But, I do surf on the phone a lot, read ebooks, and text - so big, high quality screen was very important to me.With my usage patterns, I can get more than 2 days between charges, sometimes more than 3.Dual SIM is handy, will get a cheapo PAYG SIM from EE or O2 for extra coveragePlenty of internal storage, plus memory card.Haven't done much experimenting with the camera yet, so can't comment on that.Found the finger-print reader ok, but in the end found a PIN to be quicker and more reliable.Overall, impressed and very pleased with it - worth the money !

Pleasantly surprised by quality and battery life!
At first I had never heard of this phone but I did a bit of research online and I have been pleasantly surprised on the quality of this phone for the price. I have had mine for 2 months now and the battery life is just amazing, it would probably take me more than 2 days for my phone to die, as you can tell it has never happened. The picture quality is really good too like most of the Samsung phones. I always had a Samsung Galaxy phone so I did not know what to expect of the A series.Definitely almost as good as the S10 for the fraction of the price. Well worth the buy.So happy with it that both my sister and my daughter want the same phone.

Decent value
Nice big samsung screen, good quality. Previously I bought a pocophone and returned it because the screen was a bit washed out coming from a note 4.Fingerprint scanner as people mention is extremely poor indeed. Have latest updates (up to end of July). But face recognition is incredibly fast which I prefer using anyway, just open up my little book case and bam its on.Call reception is pretty much the same as my old note 4, maybe slightly inferior actually. The system seems fast/responsive but that could be because my old phone was becoming so sluggish. But performance is what I would expect from a new phone at this price.I drive a lot and the googlemap experience has been problem free so far.Battery life impressive (for now), not replaceable so hopefully it does not deteriorate too much within the next few years. Charging upto approx 80% is very fast indeed, but the last 20% or so is slightly slower to charge.Overall extremely happy with the device, the big screens are what I like and this one pushes it even further, you really appreciate the extra screen real estate.Would add that the official samsung gradient case is very poor, its slippery and honestly just a nasty thing. The official samsung book case is much nicer, good material to hold onto.

Not Worth It
I’ve had this phone for a few months now and it has caused me nothing but problems. The fingerprint scanner doesn’t work and neither does the face recognition. The phone often has to be restarted at least twice a day as it freezes so much, often when you try to charge it. The camera quality is poor and there is no durability to it at all. I’ve had the screen repaired twice because of how wonky it is and I would recommend not to get this phone.

Amazing Samsung Experience as Always!
What I can say is, I simply love this smartphone. My recent was the Galaxy S9 (non plus version), and this Galaxy A70 does what that other smartphone does but better, with the exception of the cheaper price tag. The A70 has more RAM (came with the 6GB model), and big camera improvement thanks to the triple camera setup. The fingerprint scanner is now optical (on the screen) which might throw some people of compared to the scanner which is on the back part of the S9 smartphone, but not for me, as I prefer using the screen itself to unlock my A70. Last thing I would like to mention is the addition of the 123 degree camera mode built in, which basically zooms way out and widens the camera view, so it is like what the human eye can see, which is quite cool! Also is just as great if not better, and competes with the flagship brands out there, including Samsung's own range.Overall, fantastic smartphone from Samsung, and would recommend people to buy it if they don't want to go all out and buy a flagship Samsung. 10/10 :)

Pot Luck? I was lucky!
I guess with renewed products, it's a bit of a gamble of what you get and how it was looked after before hand. The Samsung A70 I purchased was in very good condition and works perfectly well - I can't fault it. No one would know it's a renewed product. Very pleased with this purchased as I was dreading the purchase have read some negative reviews only after I had ordered it. Credit where credit's due.

Half the price of an S10
Huge screen...makes my old S7 look tiny. Fingerprint lock is as slow and unreliable as everybody says. Possibly worse. But face unlock v quick if somewhat less secure. Camera app a bit limited but others are available. Ultrawide is nice. Battery life is excellent as you'd expect .. but shame there isn't an option to stop charging once you hit 80% max charge, to prolong overall battery life. Comes with a transparent case in the box and NFC in UK.UPDATEStill v happy, except suspect this handset was supposed to be for the Abu Dhabi market: online manual was originally in English but now it and the Bixby Youtube plugin are both in arabic and won't change back.
