A solid RO/DI system to make water for my marine aquariums
I bought this to replace a small and cheap RO/DI system that I had for a few years as I've added some larger tanks and needed a bigger system.Shipping - The shipping was free and surprisingly, fast. I ordered on a Thursday night, the package arrived the following Wednesday.Packing - The system was well packaged and arrived without any damage.Extra Parts - They included extra fittings, nylon pipe tape and lots of extra blue fitting clips.Installation - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! I'll say it again, read and follow the instructions. They clearly state that some of the tubing can come loose during shipping and I found some of mine that did, I pushed the tubes in tightly and also put on the blue clips to keep them locked tightly. You install the DI cartridges into each canister and then use the white canister wrench to tighten ALL canisters before mounting the units on the wall. They need to be pretty snug but remember you'll have to change the filters in the future so you don't want to "gorilla fist" them on.Plan out your installation location and ensure you have enough 1/4" tubing. I mounted mine in the garage on the wall about 5 feet from my utility sink so I picked up some extra tubing to make sure I had enough. While the unit came with tubing, it wouldn't have been long enough for my install. The tubing is pretty cheap here on Amazon or at your local big box hardware store so it's better to have too much than not enough.I mounted a 2' X 3' piece of 3/4" plywood to the garage wall so I could mount my system to it rather than directly on the drywall. I used 1/4" X 3" galvanized lag bolts to mount both parts of the system to the plywood. Because of the available space, I mounted the larger unit on top and the DI canisters below that (see attached picture).Once the units were securely mounted I went to work on connecting the remainder of the tubes with the extra tubing I purchased. For my install, I have a quick disconnect fitting on my utility sink which makes it easy for me to still use the sink for daily things. It came with a drain saddle connector but I just snaked the waste tube directly down the drain about 8", it stays in place and I can pull it out if needed.I added a TDS meter to measure the input and output of the unit along with a pressure gauge. I installed the pressure gauge on the output of the 3rd stage canister to measure the pressure going into the membrane. When the pressure starts to drop, I know I need to look at my filter cartridges. The TDS meter and pressure gauge did NOT come with this particular system, I purchased them here on Amazon.Once everything was in place and connected, I flushed the system using the included manual flush kit. The instructions show you how to flush the membrane (pretty easy, you just turn a valve) and state you should flush it for 20-30 minutes. I flushed it for 45 minutes just to be sure all of the carbon dust that may be in there. When the flushing was completed, I turned the valve back to the proper position as per the instructions and started getting some clean water.Your output volume will depend on different factors, water pressure, water temperature, water quality, etc... My input pressure gauge reads about 55 PSI which is fine, if it's below 45 PSI you will need to either use a low pressure membrane or add a booster pump. You don't want the pressure to be above 95 PSI, if it is, you'll want to add a pressure reducer to the line. Never use the hot water tap for your system, hot water will kill your membrane.I was able to make 5 gallons of 0 TDS water at 55 PSI in 51 minutes, which is slightly better than the estimate of 5 gallons per hour, then again, the system is brand new and will probably slow down as the cartridges get older. Input TDS was between 130-140 if anyone is wondering. It took me about 3 hours start to finish to plan and mount my system. I did have to run the water lines behind the fridge in the garage so I used a 4' strip of plywood and wall hose clamps to screw the hoses to the plywood, I wanted a neat and clean looking install. The only problem I had with my entire order was the canister wrench was missing. I called the seller's number on Wednesday night when I opened the package and he was very apologetic about it and sent one out in the mail the next morning. It arrived a few days later, not a big deal, I picked up a spare plastic wrench at a local big box hardware store for under $5 and now I have a spare. I understand mistakes happen and the seller was quick to make it right. He also told me if I had any questions about the install or operation to give him a call and he'd be happy to help, A+ for customer service.I compared this system to others here on Amazon and several from various online marine aquarium supply companies and this looked very similar/identical to what they were selling at a much better price. Time will tell how this system will hold up but for the price, ease of installation and the extras included with the system, I'm pretty happy.

Worth the cost! Hassle free. Great Support.
Awesome Customer Support, friendly, and quick to answer any questions I had. They even went the extra mile when I made a mistake and sent me extra parts at no charge. I highly recommend LiquaGen if you are looking for a serious RO/DI unit that delivers what it promises. I have run a little over 300 gallons of clean water and everything is perfect with zero problems. My water pressure is around 45 but the unit still functions perfect; I can fill up a 32 gallon trashcan in an afternoon. The pressure gauge and dual TDS are worth the extra. More importantly LiquaGen itself is the company you want to do business with, beware of others promising what LiquaGen actually delivers!

Super sturdy built system
Super easy to install, replaced an old 4-chamber unit that was built of all plastics. This unit is built on a metal frame and with 6 chambers, oh how happy my corals will be! Highly recommend

Easy install
It’s been working great so far. Small leak at start up of course. Easy fix.

Professional grade - worth the money!
Previously, I used cheaper alternatives and most, if not all, of the hose connections would leak once the clean water holding tank was full. These connections stay water tight no matter how long the intake water stream is running. The cartridges are easy to remove and replace media, as well. Highly recommended for fresh water aquariums and water changes.

Works great
This works like it should and I cannot say I'd want anything else. Only thing negative would be make sure you grab some float shut off package with it
