The battery has an on/off switch and a power button. I switch it to on and press the power button and it powers up showing battery percentage (fully charged) then after 5 seconds it shuts itself off. This means when jumping my car I had to press the on button then run to turn on my car within 5 seconds or else the unit would shut down and not work. Not sure if mine is defective, but not happy with it right now, hoping I can work it out with the manufacturer, will update my review if it works outEdit: Changing to 5 stars, after reaching out they were helpful. I purchased this battery pack for multiple reasons. The first was to jump start my car (because sometimes I forget to shut off those pesky headlights that love to drain the battery. No fear, the FCONERGY jump starter is here! I cannot comment on the jump starting performance yet as that has not happened.... yet. Will come back and change my review once I do! The second reason I got this jump starter was for the 12v accessory adapter. Sometimes those outlets are located deep inside the car and my tire air compressor sometimes doesn’t reach and I need to hold the compressor (I know! First world problems :) ) So far, this battery pack has been able to power my compressor with no problems - keeping in mind it draws about 100 watts. The battery pack has excellent protection from dropping the pack below 12-13V. (Not sure if this is for backup?) Battery when full is around 16V. Enough to charge a bit of the car battery and jump it. Type-C FAST charging was a welcome surprise (but everything is moving towards that anyways). It charges relatively fast at 9V/2A vs the standard 5/2.4A charging. Has a ON/OFF switch on the side to prevent it from turning on (and the case does a great job too!) So far, I love the portability of this jump starter and the IO on the jump starter. Perfect for any car owner out there!

The plastic wrap came slightly torn but it’s likely just from the packing process. I was a bit concerned but everything else in the box was brand new. It came with an instruction manual that had clear instructions and it wasn’t difficult to use to jump start my car. I was glad I had this in my trunk, I was able to avoid calling AAA and feeling stranded. I would definitely recommend bringing this jump starter kit along on long journeys, especially if the car battery is reaching the end of it’s life, which is typically around 5 years.I do want to point out that it doesn’t come with a wall adapter.

Update after 4 months of purchase :While the charges of my other three batteries will remain 100% for a long time, this one quickly drops to 86% so I have to recharge it every couple months. Don't know if it is defective or the quality is not as good as the other brands.The battery is large enough to charge portable devices multiple times in addition to jumping start a car. It comes with a nice case so you don't have to worry it gets damaged in the car. I used a 2A charger to fully charge it from 0% in almost 6 hours. If a battery can be charged in 2 hours then you know the capacity is low. I just jump stated a 2.5L car today and only lost 1% of charge after it. Great for the price.

The package came in good condition. Read the manual before you use it. The Jump Starter itself looks nice and easy to use. It's like a larger version of a portable battery. When I unboxed it, it was on 74% battery. I charged it to 100% before I use it. I just bought a new car and hope will never get to use the Jump Starter. But, you bet. I basically just put it aside in my car just in case and use it as a spare battery/charger for my iPad and dashcam when they are running low in battery since I don't have enough ports in my car. Working fine.

I've used it twice; both time on a dead battery. First time on a battery that wouldn't take a charge; but with this product, I got it running right away. The second time on my Prius... which had a dead battery. Worked like a charm!Problem is that I now need to charge the device. The supplied UCB-C cable won't connect to charge. I now have a brick! It's 5 days after my window for returning the product.I thought, before this connection problem for charging this device, I had found the perfect product.It's at 72% so possibly I get to charge once more, before it becomes a doorstop!

If you read the directions, it's easy to use- a bit clunky- but gives your car battery just enough oomph to get the starter running in case it quits on you- even useable for a failing alternator. It's a bit clunky because you have to plug in the jumper cables again every time you wanna jump start something with it. It also features chargers for most other common devices, and holds enough power to charge a phone maybe a dozen times, and also comes with a nice case.

I received an Amazon gift card for Christmas and I wasn’t sure what to buy with it. One morning I went into the garage to move my wife's car and it wouldn’t start. Then it hit me I needed a portable jump starter, so I did some research. The first thing I found out is that they are expensive. I found the FConegy FC400 and did more research on it and based on the product details the FC400 packs a punch for the price. So I purchased it, it came 85% charged when delivered. I have an old riding lawnmower that has been sitting in my garage since early October 2020. The battery was dead. So I put the FConegy to the test and BAM! It started up TWICE! This little pocket rocket jump starter did the job. Hats off to the engineers and marketing team for putting a great product together at a great price.
