Bland
Disappointed in the stories that were written. I have read many of the stories in this book and were much more informative. The plus was the hard cover of the book

Good, quick read
This book provides a quick, very high level synopsis of WWII major battles. My only criticism is that it focuses too much on the European theater and too little on the Pacific theater.

Excellent book
In chronological order, the most important battles are listed in sections. Brief details are provided for each one, but it does not take away from one’s ability to understand what occurred in each war. It would have been nice to have a map of the battlegrounds in Europe for reference, but that can be found just by looking online.

Great quick read on WWII
The book was well written and easy to follow. A super book for teens and young adults who want a quick summary of key WWII battles. One major mistake, however, at the very end (p. 156) you incorrectly identify the Americans raising the flag on Iwo Jima as "soldiers;" they most certainly were not! They were Marines. Semper Fi.
