Works great
It actually works better than I expected. After ripping out more than 50 ft.² of floor tile I expected to see major wear and tear on the blade but, it shows only light wear. As other reviewers have noted the nuts and bolts do vibrate loose even with lock washers and thread lock. Very minor annoyance especially considering the time saves by using this tool. Works very well tripping the thin set off the concrete. Will definitely recommend and purchase more if I wear this one out. Worth every penny.

Perfect chisel for thin set.
Excellent product. prior to receiving this bit, I used a rotary hammer with a chisel bit to take up the tile and underlying thin set in my dining room. It took two full days. I removed the tile in my kitchen with the same chisel bit, but the time consuming process of chiseling thin set was cut by 1/4 with this bit. I finished the same area in just a few hours that took 2 full days without it. Outstanding. The epitome of the “right tool for the right job”. Highly recommended. The only advice I would give is to check the bolts frequently, as they have a tendency to loosen with the vibration of the roto hammer.

Nuts still suck
The media could not be loaded. Works amazingly well for removing thinset! The nuts as mentioned over and over in the reviews are still failing. I did what others recommended and bought one inch long bolts and used a lock washer and two nylon lock nuts. The original bolts came loose in two minutes of use. I tried just locknuts with the original bolts and washers and it still came loose. After I put a lock washer and double lock nuts it stayed put for 300 sq feet of thinset removal. This on a Bauer rotary hammer from harbor freight worked better than any other chisel or scraper I tried. It did break after 250ish sq ft of punishment but I just replaced the blade and all was well. If they would address the nut issue it would be 5 stars all day!*EDIT*I rented a demo hammer and cart to take up our glued down hardwood floor which didn’t work at all btw. I had a much bigger version of this scraping bit and it was garbage compared to this thing. It was attached to a literal jackhammer and it just slid over the thin set no matter what angle or pressure I put on it. I raised a star because this thing really is awesome at what it does if you look past the terrible nuts it comes with.

Amazing Price, Amazing tool , Bad bolts
Its worth the money, but the hardware is sub par so you may have to tighten it ever now and then, price makes up for that

The tool would be a great product if better materials were used in the construction.
Although this was a perfect tool for removing thin set it had some problems. Used it for 4 day and the shaft developed a crack and the nuts and bolts vibrated loose. I then took it to a welder and had the crack welded along with a spare blade I purchased. After 1/2 day the blade broke off from the shaft so I had one of the blades welded to a hand chisel and finished the job by using a hammer. by the time I was finished I had over a $100 dollars in the tool and spare blades and still had to finish the job with a hammer

Blade keeps coming loose
Was removing thinset from a concrete floor. The tool was working well when I noticed the bolts, holding the blade, were rotating and loosening. Tightened several times but began loosening more quickly until it became unusable. The nuts were nylon locknuts but would not hold.Follow up, manufacturer's response was quick and professional:Hey Jim,Very sorry about that. This is a new product so haven’t received feedback yet so not sure if this will reoccur or if you had faulty nylock nuts.We can do a couple things: you can either return to amazon for a full refund, or I could send you replacement bolts along with a 3 inch wide solid chisel. If the replacement bolts fail you can return the 4 inch scraper for a full refund and keep the 3 in chisel for your trouble. Please let me know how you’d like to proceed. If you want to give it one more shot then please reply with your addressThanksRody

This 4" bit does the job !!
Yes, it does the job. I think it is over-priced but since it's the only tool on the market for this specific application, you just got to go with it. And you wont be disappointed. I peeled up close to 400 sq ft and it just keeps on giving. I did go to Lowes and bought new 5/16" x 1" bolts (Grade 5) and lock washers and 2 nuts per bolt. After locking these down, the blade held to the shaft much better with just an occasional tightening (you can just throw away the original bolts, washers and nuts).Would I buy it again ??? ABSOLUTELY.It peeled up 95% of the thin-set and now I will rent a 17" floor machine with an attachment that has 4 grinding stones as I need the concrete slab near perfect for the glue down vinyl planks (LVTs 6" x 48") that I will be installing.
