Everything people say about installing these is spot on—but that goes for most bull bars. Hopefully, I’ll never need to use it, but it’s reassuring to have just in case. Installation took me over 4 hours, and I’m pretty handy with cars. The quality is decent, though you can tell it’s on the lighter side, which is expected at this price point. Still, it's good quality for what you pay. Just make sure to tighten all the bolts properly, or you'll notice a bit of a wiggle while driving.

I have NEVER received a product as well-packaged as this, in the thousands of dollars I've spent on Amazon over the years. It was almost humorous the layers and layers of padding and sheeting covering this thing. I didn't take pictures of that but trust me, they could drop this thing out of a plane in its box and it wouldn't have a dent.Build quality itself seems solid. All bolts and hardware are included (I think, see below) but a $2 packet of thread locker would have been nice on a $200 item.HOWEVER. I scoured the whole of the internet for instructions on how to install this. Of course, none were included in the shipment and the only thing I could find on their website was literally "remove plastic" and then "remove bolts". Great. Terrific. Thanks for the insight. You've instructed me to take my car apart and left me for your ex. Worthless instructions. I'm serious, those two phrases are the ONLY written instructions for this bar on their official website, or anywhere else on the internet. How do you go through R&D, prototyping, drafting, manufacturing, and distribution and have, at no point in the entire product development pipeline, thought to include any semblance of adequate instructions? Your wizard-level packaging means nothing if I can't install this. Which bolt goes where? Good luck. Where does the weird L bracket go? Who knows. Torque specs? Forget about it. Just know you're on your own with installing this. I tried it myself, got it sort of on, and after an hour and a half of frustration, had to pay a truck accessory shop $75 to finish installing this (They quoted me $50 because "most bull bars take an hour" but this one took an hour and a half because, go figure, it took them a while to figure out what goes where). Thanks VANGUARD, your lack of instructions costed me extra literal time AND money.For those wondering, it does not seem to block any sensors, sonar, radar, or cameras. I have the Limited grade trim with all the options, and nothing seems to be impeded. So you should be golden there.Side note, the "finished" pictures are actually before the shop adjusted it, so imagine the bar installed properly when looking at those two pictures.

I purchased this item, and it had issues. It must not have been stored & handled properly so I contacted the seller, and they were understanding & fast to resolve the issue. The replacement came in just as it should, shipping was fast, and the quality is top notch for its price point! Durability against the elements I'm guessing is fine as far as the coating, I have no issues. The only thing I can say negative about this, and any bar designed with a slight curvature that goes in toward the vehicle is that if you're in an accident it can cause a vehicle to come up on the front hood of your vehicle if you're hit by someone in reverse hard enough or if you hit someone hard enough in the front or back of their vehicle. Any vehicle lower than the curve during an accident can have the opposite effect and go under your vehicle. Are there better bars out there for protection, yes! Then there is the issue of what you can and cannot afford. No matter how careful you are these bars are only designed to do so much to protect you & your vehicle from damage. Vanguard makes excellent products so don't read into this the wrong way. You get what you pay for. I'm satisfied overall with my purchase but I'm also extremely careful of my surroundings. If you need more, look at Vanguards classis L shape front bumper guard which has no curve, it's a bit more money but it's twice the protection.

Good luck trying to figure out how to put this sucker on! It doesn’t come with instructions!After a couple trial and error attempts to get the brackets right, it mounted up just fine. Looks pretty awesome and seems nice and sturdy.
