5/5 worked great, holds battery very securely (which is what most projects will want). Easy to use
My project was not working right after soldering one of these in, so I checked this page to make sure I wasn't doing something silly (and to see if others were having issues, e.g. with quality control). After seeing some of the reviews, I got my multimeter out to check that 3V was coming out where it should be with the switch turned to the "ON" position. Five out of five of these were putting out the correct voltage (100% for me). I was in fact doing something wrong that had nothing to do with this product, and I got my project working within minutes of checking the boards with the multimeter. Another reviewer mentioned that they hold the battery "too securely" for his/her project, which doesn't make much sense to me — these battery holders DO hold the battery very securely, though. They will not shake loose. I had to use a small tool to push the battery out from the rear. This is a good thing for most projects in my opinion, because it means the battery will not come dislodged accidentally or have an issue making good electrical contact. Quite happy with this purchase; it solved my need at a very reasonable price. I only really "needed" one unit, but I'm glad that I have spares — and in the rare case that there are future QC/QA issues that pop up, perhaps it will be nice to have extras, but I did not encounter this issue.

All but one works
I'm happy I purchased these, except for the one bad holder that didn't work. Tested it with a good battery and the VOM showed no voltage. That's why I'm giving on 3 stars. Need to QC your products a tad better

Battery difficult to insert and retrieve
The quality of the product it’s self is good. However you really have to force the battery in the pack and it’s very hard to pull out the battery. Not good for my need.

Make a battery replaceable in a welding helmet.
Provide a replaceable battery holder for a Welding helmet that has batteries that are soldered in and nonreplaceable. Works well and well marked.

This product does what it's supposed to do. Worked well in a number of applications and really easy to install.
