Intersting ribbing, tight fit up.
Never seen the crosshatch ribbing before so we will see. continental makes great belts so I have absolute confidence in it. Very tight fit so lost of stretching room, I doubt it will become too loose for the tensioner before it wears out.

Fit my 97 chevy half ton - 5.7L w/ A.C. - VIN R
i bought this to replace my old goodyear gatorback belt with the same part number. 4060960. the other day i was doing an oil change on this truck and realized i hadn't changed the serpentine belt in probably close to 10 years. it isn't my daily driver, it's a work truck/loaner truck so it tends to get neglected. when i inspected the old belt it had cracks etc. i want to say i paid $45 to $50 for that goodyear gatorback belt at the parts store back then. at the time it was the option they said would last the longest. the new belt looks like it's decent quality. hopefully it lasts as long as the old one did.

I had horrible belt squeal
Well I wish I listened to everyone of my buddies sooner - I really learned my lesson when it comes to cheap parts! I had horrible belt squeal. I changed it first with a MasterPro (JUNK!) and also changed the tensioner pulley and idler pulley along with it. Still had HORRIBLE belt squeal which sounded like it came from the alternator. So I bought a WHOLE NEW PERFORMANCE ALTERNATOR still horrible belt squeal (not to upset because its winter and my truck is 14 years old it was due for a new one anyways.) Then I finally went back to this belt spent some decent money on a quality belt. Absolutely not a peep out of my truck now! Lesson learned, I will not buy ChinaStan crap ever again, it ended up costing me 2 pulleys and an alternator all for trying to save 8 bucks... Great Product!

I should have bought this first and saved a headache only plus side is the crap belts now sit in my jack storage compartment
Bought a 1996 Suburban K1500 LT with 118,000 miles on it, squeaky belt drove me insane, so I bought a brand new one for almost 30 bucks from Oreilly....Same issue, it had the damn knife thin grooves that were supposed to work themselves into a proper sized belt over time..well after replacing that and my idler pulley it was still squeaky. After some research I found that often times the overpriced belts from your local autoparts stores are the culprit, crossing my fingers and hoping it wasn't my alt, AC, tensioner, or fan I bought this beltInstalled in minutes, no more squeak, I will never buy another belt again, I should have bought this first and saved a headacheonly plus side is the crap belts now sit in my jack storage compartment, just in caseBest belt you can get, absolutely fantastic
