Pretty and practical for honey or syrup
This glass honey and syrup dispenser is both beautiful and functional. The design looks great on the table, and the trigger handle makes it easy to control the flow without any mess. It’s especially nice for honey — no more sticky jars or spoons! The glass feels sturdy and the stand that holds the dispenser is a nice touch to catch any drips. I did notice that if the honey is very thick or cold, it can flow a little slowly, but typically handles fine at room temp. Overall, it’s a great addition to my kitchen and makes serving honey or syrup much easier (and cleaner).

Love it!
Beautiful! It is sort of tricky to get filled, but I followed the directions I saw on another review.1) unscrew the top, obviously.2) plug the bottom with your finger.3) fill, of course.4) put the handle in, once you start twisting it to close, you will feel pressure on where your finger is, slowly move your finger out of the way as you tighten. You will lose some honey, but it isn’t a lot.5) voila. To refill it if you still have some honey in it, just plug the bottom with your finger again and twist the cap off to hold any honey left in it. Again, you’ll lose some, but it’s expected.I had no honey leakage as it was sitting in the rest, but I also did wipe the bottom after each use. Cleaning it was easy, just soak it in warm water, and swish it around to melt/loosen the honey. It’s a nice, sturdy thicker glass. The handle is about the same quality as the handles on the syrup things at a diner, just be careful to not go hulk mode on it and it’ll be fine.

A bit of difficulty filling it, but very cute and cuts way down on sticky messes.
This honey server is really cute and does keep the honey from making a sticky mess, however, it is very difficult to fill as it has no plug for the bottom of the dispenser so that the honey runs out as you're filling it unless you find some way to plug it. Happily, I did before making a colossal mess. The neck is rather small as well, so you'll need a small funnel and a bit of patience if the honey is not warm. Anyway, I'd give it 5 stars if it just had some sort of plug for the bottom. It's really cute and works well otherwise.

Mess Free Honey at Last!
I read many reviews on Amazon before I bought this. I bought this because other types of honey containers have not worked to eliminate the honey mess. Whether it's the old school honey bear or a bottle designed to be mess-free, I always seem to find a sticky honey in my cupboard and/or on the bottle. I like this design because if it does drip, at least there is neat place to catch it. So far, it hasn't dripped. My two main concerns after reading reviews were 1) ease of filling dispenser and 2) ease of dispensing honey.Regarding ease of filling dispenser, I can't see how/why anyone has problems. I read one complicated review about how someone fills it. I just washed my hands, put my finger over the hole and filled the container. It was super easy and took me 30 seconds. My finger covered the hole wasn't even messy - just a tiny smudge of honey on it (yes, I licked it off). The honey dispenses easily. I didn't even fill the bottom with water. I wouldn't want the honey to come out any faster than it does. It's a perfect stream. I'm guessing house temperature factors in. Our house is about 68-70 in winter. I guess if it's colder and I waned the honey to come out more quickly, I would fill the bottom with hot water. I haven't used this for syrup. You can kind of control how fast liquid dispensed by not pressing down as far on lever and the closure seems to be firm after dispensed, so I would think syrup would be fine in this too.The container itself is glass. The silver part is plastic. I might take off a 1/2 star for plastic because I would prefer metal. It seems sturdy enough and looks great, so I can live with the plastic part.I really like this dispenser. It is truly a mess free way to dispense honey. When I let the spout close after dispensing honey, I have not had any mess or drips. The bottom part is completely clean. I imagine at some point -- when my kids are involved -- there will be some drips. I'd prefer they are in this little glass bottom part than all over the bottle, on my counters or in my cupboards.I am going to remember how perfect this is. A great bottle of local honey + this dispenser would make a great gift.

The darn thing leaks syrup (or honey) all over the place!
Because the container has a hole in the bottom of it, one should be very careful when handling it to pour on pancakes or whatever you require honey or syrup access - it will leak onto the table, your plate - and your lap - if you fail to protectthe bottom of the container. What a mess! Why I bought it, I'll never figure that one out. That's what I did with it - I tossed it out!

Great Dispenser—My Honey Just Can’t Keep Up!
his honey/syrup dispenser is super convenient and mess-free. I love the design—it pours smoothly, doesn’t drip, and looks great on the counter. The lid seals well, and the stand keeps everything tidy. The only downside? I don’t use honey fast enough! After a while, it starts to thicken and crystalize in the dispenser, which makes it harder to pour. Not really the product’s fault—just nature doing its thing. A quick warm water soak usually helps, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re a light honey user.Overall, it’s a great product—just be ready to enjoy your honey more often or give it a little warm-up now and then!

Perfect dispenser for Honey and other thicker syrups
I love this dispenser. It looks nice on my stove where I prepare my foods. The dispenser bottle and stand are made of heavy clear glass, but the handle, plunger/plug, and top trigger piece are silver plastic. I did question, and had to come up with a personal technique, to fill it with honey without the plunger/plug inside to prevent spillage. It came with no directions. While I hold the glass bottle in one hand, a finger holds the opening closed, I fill it from an original honey container with the other hand. I screw on the top piece with the attached plunger, and only had a drop of honey is on my finger tip. The glass stand holds the bottle and catches any drips. Alert others that this is a two piece glass holder, so they don't grab it and drop it to shatter the glass. It is smaller (holds 8 ounces) than I expected, but it works great.
