Wish I had an Amp for these!
Just got a new car and the front speakers blew out on me within minutes of buying it... Did quite a bit of research and looking around until I found these. The 6.75" 4-ways fit perfectly in the door, nice and snug with no rattling. They didn't take long to install either! Would have been faster if I actually had a pair of wire strippers etc. but a quick run to the store fixed that! I have a new Kenwood KDC-255U head unit as well which has only 22 watts RMS so I am nowhere near RMS power for these speakers. Often times I have to turn up the volume to 15-20 before I really begin to hear anything out of them but with an amp that would all change and I'd have much better sound quality and strength. Occasionally I'll crank em up and I can't even see clearly in my side mirrors because they're shaking so much. The highs are crisp and clear and the bass is pretty low. Haven't even adjusted the equalizer or anything yet until I let them break in a bit but they sound great and are definitely much better quality than the Boss speakers before them...I'm hoping I won't have to replace the rear 6x9's anytime soon! But if I do I will be coming back for a pair of the Pioneer 6x9's! I will be adding a pair of subwoofers in the near future to complete the sound system and I will update the review, once I can compare the sound against the sub's when they're broken in.I will definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for a pair of quality speakers on a budget. Also, it never hurts to have some type of sound dampening fabric on the inside of the door panels. I have some dampner material in my doors and my car is loud on the outside but eerily quiet on the inside, so my music sounds that much better without the all the engine/exhaust noise competing with my speakers.

Clean clear sounding.
Bought a used truck for my son, and the OEM speakers were completely shot. So instead of buying OEM replacements, I thought I would try a bit of an upgrade. All the foam was missing on the old speakers, put in these speakers can't describe how much of a difference there was from the old speakers. Sounds like it is supposed to now.The Pioneer speakers seem to be a very high quality. The Pioneer speakers also each have very nice cosmetic grills which I was unable to use for the OEM indoor placement. Kid seemed to be happy to have sound again. From what little I heard of them they were very clear and clean sounding. Not too much bass, though a lot of people seem to like having a lot of bass. I did crank up the bass, mid, and treble, separately to see how the speakers sounded with different levels of input. No distortions with the OEM GM stock radio. I set the stereo back to neutral and very happy with the way they sound. The price was right too. A lot less than what I would have expected to pay for a quality 4 way speaker.I read several reviews on different speakers and these Pioneer speakers got some of the best ratings and I have to agree with them. At $53 a pair they are a bargain.

Nice speakers, but a couple things to be aware of.
I was looking to upgrade my factory speakers with some with better sound. Didn't want to spend a ton of money, and based on a good bit of research and lots of reviews, decided on these speakers. Installed 4 (front and back) in my 2003 Honda CRV. They're good speakers for the money, but there are the two things I wish I would have realized before I bought them:1. These speakers have great clarity and detail on high-end stuff, but unless I'm missing something, not the bass I expected. I know the bass things is to be somewhat expected with speakers in this price range, but i was a little disappointed because I expected a little more. Was gonna try to make-do without a sub, but once I had these installed realized I wasn't gonna get the sound I wanted with just these. Still, I've been really impressed by the clarity on high notes.2. These speakers are pretty deep. While I got them to fit in my front doors pretty easily, they were considerably more difficult to mount in the back. Online they are listed as fitting my vehicle, but it took some work, and I actually had to trim out some of the inside of my door panels to keep them from grounding on the doors.Overall, nice speakers, but not gonna provide a lot of bass, and can require a little more space than others.

Sound good
I just needed a budget friendly speaker to replace the 20+ year old ones that were in my 97 vw mk3 Jetta. These fit the hill even fitting in the factory mounting points! Sound good and easy install!

Great budget speakers with a great, wide frequency response.
This is an amazing bang for your buck pair of speakers. I love my music to sound the best it possibly can without breaking my fairly low highschool budget. These have decent mids that bring the vocals enough but they're still a little shallow and can get muddled by the bass. The highs can be amazing and fairly detailed, but if you're overzealous with an EQ it can be way too shrill, especially at high volumes. The bass is satisfactory, giving enough thump to vibrate my rear view mirror in a Nissan Altima 2000. Also a big plus is the fact that they work totally fine running straight from your head unit. 9.5/10 IMO.

Great speakers at a great price!
Bought a used(new to me) truck and wanted to replace the front speakers in it that the previous owner had installed. Saw these on another website and found nothing but positive reviews for them. So I cam here to Amazon and was pleased to find the same positive user reviews along with a little bit lower price, plus free shipping through Prime. I ordered them, got them installed and hooked up to my 4 channel amp and must say that I am very pleased with the sound quality they produce for the price. Obviously I could have spent twice as much or more and got some Alpine or Rockford-Fosgate speakers that sound even better but I didn't have that kind of money at the time and I needed them before a road trip I was about to embark on. So, if you're looking for a set of good sounding speakers, and you aren't looking to break the bank buying them, go with these Pioneer speakers. For the money, you can't go wrong
