Best Travel Vest I Have Ever Owned
August 17, 2015 - I received my ExOfficio X-Large Flyq Lite Vest today and I am one happy customer. My black vest is a perfect fit and I can't wait until my wife and I leave on our next flight in October so I can wear it through TSA PreCheck and onto the airplane. The vest is lightweight and perfect for either summer or fall travel. The outside and inside pockets are perfectly designed for my wallet, passport, airline tickets, extra keys, glasses, camera, and my iPhone 6 Plus. All of the zippers on my new ExOfficio vest are well made and work flawlessly, unlike the "overpriced" SCOTTeVEST that I purchased in 2014 for a trip to Europe. The inferior zippers on my SCOTTeVEST would seldom work correctly so I am overjoyed with the arrival of my new ExOfficio vest. Having retired from a major corporation, my wife and I are now traveling the world and believe me, a well made good looking vest that offers security and comfort, is a big deal. This is the 3rd travel vest I have purchased in the past 5 years and I can now say that I have finally found the perfect vest. Without hesitation, I give it a 5-star rating.

Nice vest--small pockets
Nice travel vest, but I like my ScotteVest better. After wearing my ScotteVest on various trips for 2.5 yrs, I was afraid I might wear it out before I wear out. So, I looked on Amazon to see if I could get a back-up here. After reading several reviews, I wondered if they'd changed manufacturers, since my zippers continue to work great after many wearings and much zipper usage. So, I looked at competitive products, and settled on this one -- at half the price, in walnut. I'm still on the fence as to whether to return it and buy another ScotteVest (or keep it and buy another ScotteVest). Here's why: 1) my iPhone 6 is too big for the main cell-phone pocket (though it will fit in a front zipper pocket), 2) My coat-pocket wallet won't fit into either front zipper pocket, and my RFID-blocking travel wallet just barely fits, 3) I prefer zipper-closures to the 2 velcro-closures for camera & eyeglasses, 4) I'd prefer to have zippers on the 2 lower side pockets, 5) A 12oz water bottle is the largest size I could squeeze into the water-bottle pocket (vs. 20oz for my ScotteVest), and 6) I like the fit & finish of the ScotteVest better, and it has generous pockets with zipper-closures. Obviously, you can overcome most of these limitations by putting things in different pockets -- if you really like walnut, or if $50 is your limit. So, if these aren't issues for you, then you might be happy with this ExOfficio -- it is a nice vest.

pocket wonderland
I have purchased three of these in various colors and sizes. These vests are a pocket wonderland. There are two really useful pockets one that is designated for sunglasses that have a nice soft lining and the other is a huge zippered pocket capable of holding an iPad mini and cover with ease. Many of the pockets are iffy at best because they have a vertical zipper and no pocket depth. There are two lovely napoleon pockets on the front but the bottom of the pocket is the bottom of the zipper which means items (money) will fall out if you forget to zip. Being old and a little mad cowwy I have already lost my credit card to one of these vertical pocket types. To prevent this from happening again I removed several pockets and increased the depth past the zipper on one napoleon pocket which really makes a huge difference, I also added a wallet pocket where one of the vertical pockets was. It was an IPod pocket which would loose an IPod to one as forgetful as myself. This can be a perfect vest were you handy with thread and needle or if you have a good semesters available. Be aware that if you wear this vest at a theme park be prepared to be asked for park related help.

Excellent product, worth every penny
There are several reasons why I am very happy with this vest. First, its multiple pockets can really store a lot of items which I usually carry in a over the shoulder bag without leaving any visual cue to the innocent bystander. It helps to have the carried items organized in small travel pouches fitting the pockets, which are easy to find in stores. The material quality is excellent, is waterproof, and looks fairly stain resistant. There is plenty of functional pockets, and despite being a person who tends to carry on a lot of miscellaneous items, there are still pockets which remain available. The only small missing detail which separates the product from ideal perfection is the lack of reinforced pull points (in the lack of better name) at the far end of the inner zippers, something that can be grabbed with the other hand when starting to slide the zipper handle during zipper closing. The available choice of colors satisfies most of the scenarios (work, casual, evening).

Flyz Vest Review with Small Smartphone Pockeet
Garment is as described from ExOfficio. Nice clean look with internal pockets clearly marked for gadget placement. One disappointment is that the smartphone pocket is too small for an Iphone 6s and can only accommodate a smaller version. It's lightweight and will be perfect for the daily walks in our area where the weather is sometimes cool in the summer. I plan to take in for my first trip out of town and flight in a few weeks and look forward to the smart storage features.

My husband loved this vest
My husband loved this vest. We traveled to Italy for 3 weeks and he wore it everyday. It has loads of pockets to choose from to put your personal items, some of them he didn't even use. The fit is perfect. My husband wears an xl or 2xl shirt depending on the brand. I purchased a 2xl vest and there was room to load the pockets and not be tight when zipped. It helped ease our fears about pickpockets while we were traveling.

Way too long
Way too long. I thought I would be able to wear under a jacket in winter, but way too long; only suitable under a long coat such as a trenchcoat. Looks a little weird by itself as it is way too long - does NOT fit as pictured. The manufacturer must have made every size from the same cut of material. Great pockets, though.
