Practice practice
I bought this for my husband, therefore I let him write the review. The DGA Mach Lite is a fantastic practice basket. Easy to set up and break down. I have yet to travel with it, but for carrying in and out of the house it is great. The ease of travel is apparent though. The included bag slips right over the top of the unit, then disconnect the base. The top of the unit has a self locking clip mechanism that engages when you lift the umbrella style top. Then the bottom has two holes in the post, up top when engaged, bottom when collapsed. You just put in the c-clip to the appropriate hole, and you are ready to go.I read other reviews about the chains not catching properly. I have not found this to be a problem. The Mach Lite catches about the same as a "real" basket. I would guess that people who are blasting through the chains are either throwing from a great distance, in which case you are really doing target practice, and you hit ! Or you are throwing too hard and relying on the "big" chains on course to slow down your disc to much. In which case practice with this will only improve your game. The idea is to land in the basket not throw through it. I have yet to have discs go through. I have had discs brush the sides and glance off (that happens on course too). I have had discs donk off the basket bottom. In other words, it's just as frustrating as a regular basket. Perfect for practice.I have been using it for mid-range practice (40-60 ft range) and straight up putting. It works perfectly for this application. It catches just fine. Is it a "real" course basket, no...but it doesn't claim to be. Is it a great way to practice your game, most definitely!I highly recommend this basket. It is all that it claims to be, and nothing more. Fantastic fun and easily moved around for a variety of different approaches. Buy it, you won't regret it !

Great Portable Practice Basket
I'm in my first year of playing disc golf, and decided that I needed a basket for putting practice. So I bought an MVP Black Hole, which I have set up in my yard, but due to space restraints, it only allows me room to practice C1 putts. It's also a bit on the weighty side, and I wanted something I could take to the local park. Enter the DGA Lite. I'm happy to say that it is indeed lightweight enough to carry from my car out to the field and back, despite my 69 years.I will say that the first few times I tried to unfurl it, I was a bit frustrated. But that was due to unfamiliarity with the unit. Now with some experience, the setup and tear-down takes less than a minute. (It would have been very helpful if I had watched the promo video first!)I don't know how it will hold up over the long haul, but so far (a few dozen trips to the park), it's been fine. Yes, the DGA Mack Lite is a bit pricy, but given its usefulness, I will not lose any sleep over it.How does it work as a disc golf basket? Of course, it's not as sturdy as an all-metal basket, but as a putting and approach practice target, it is fine. Do the chains catch as efficiently as a course basket? No, but that is a good thing, as it helps hone your aim and touch. (If you're worried about its catching ability, have a look for one of Simon Lizotte's videos where he works with a similar basket and throws aces into it from far, far away.)One recommendation I will make is this: I bought some heavy-duty, reusable cable ties at Home Depot that I use to wrap around the chains and keep them secure during transport. This keep the chains from jangling, flopping about, and possibly tangling while I carry the unit.

Well built, deploys in under a minute, and light enough to take just about anywhere
Perfect way to practice your putting in the back yard or set it up in a park for some longer range target practice. This bad boy is light enough to carry around for use at a camp site or a day at the beach or at a local park and is easy enough to setup and take down that you won't even think twice about packing it up. I actually don't leave mine open in my back yard, I keep it packed away in its carrying case when not in use.The chains are only slightly smaller than standard chains, but this catches discs really well. I always feel it is better to train on something smaller and less forgiving so when you get on the course you have that much more confidence in your game. I highly recommend this Disc Golf Target.

Kind of annoying spit outs.
Excellent mobility for a make your own course type of basket. Does not catch the disc well chains are a bit too spread making discs skirt right through. It’s like 25lbs but the carrier works well. Not to bad to break down and put up once you’ve done it once. I have a different basket for putting this one is a BuildYour own course type basket or a middle of a field make your own ace run.

Pure fun - worth the extra money
This is a perfect portable basket for a full grown person. Well constructed, nice materials, and has awesome chains. A huge bonus is the generously sized travel bag.It could be improved in two ways:1) they should add a lock pin to the bottom legs, so that when the unit is lifted the rubber stopper does not fall out of the bottom pipe.2) the shoulder strap on the portable bag is too thin/wimpy and prolonged carrying hurts my shoulder because the strap digs in.Those two issues are not enough for me to lower my 5/5 rating.I've had awesome times with this...I setup at my local forested park and used yellow drop cloths to signify tee boxes for a 9 hole course. I spent all day re-positioning the basket (after each 9) - I even positioned it under a foot bridge (very challenging) - otherwise I tucked it behind trees and alcoves in the park. See my comment about the rubber stopper not staying-put when re-positioning (annoying) - but with two people involved one person can hold it while the other re-adjusts the legs and inserts the stopper while placing it on the ground.

Resistente y muy practica
La calidad es excelente para una cesta portátil. En días con mucho viento se mantiene de pie y el sistema para abrir y cerrar la canasta es muy facil de usar.

Awesome Frolf Basket!
I've been looking to get a couple of Frolf baskets for a while. I thought it would be good to be able to practice at home and also to go out and play some frisbee golf without having to go to a course. We now call this "Pop-Up Frolf."While investigating the pros and cons of portable baskets, the Mach Lite seemed to get the best reviews and although a bit pricey, I wanted to get a top quality product. Well I can confirm that this is a top quality product. These baskets are fantastic. They are heavy, but not too heavy - The travel case lets you sling it over your shoulder and even if you're a bit out of shape like me, it's easy to carry to your desired frolfing location. They are built like a tank. The multi-level chains on the floating ring means your disc is going to catch just the same as you would with a course basket. This is the same size as a regulation basket. Set up is a breeze - Pop the top and the basket, connect the feet and you're done. My only small peeve is that the inner floating ring can get caught on the closed basket, so sometimes it hooks on and can be a pain to unhook when you're trying to open up the basket. We've played in some pretty significant winds and the these baskets don't even shake. They stand exceptionally well - just like a permanent basket. If you're thinking of getting yourself a basket, the Mach Lite Disc Golf Target is worth every single penny. I highly recommend it.

Fit description on the tin.
Catches well for a moveable basket, walk to the park which is like a mile away, not too strenuous but you do feel the weight when walking with it (big bloke).
