Very sturdy!
I trim my beard without any guards- I love the feature of the adjustable trimming depth ( Which I leave @ 3. ) It gives a perfect trim to my beard. You can feel the quality of the sturdiness & power it has. I've had this for over 4 years. I leave it plugged in, but use it unplugged . You can also use it plugged in , if you need to use it for a longer time , such as hair cutting.
