Even my five year old found this boring
The game is basically 180 levels of single-player Pong. The only action the wii remote is used for is to tilt it right or left to move the "paddle" (the guy in the car on the railroad tracks in the pictures above). You could also use the wii remote as a pointer to move the paddle if you find that exciting. You can play at two levels: easy and hard. At the easy level you cannot lose the ball, so there is almost no need to use the paddle since the ball will always bounce off the railroad tracks and go back up. At the hard level you can lose the ball. That's pretty much it. The "action" key can be used to occasionally shake the trees and cause an animal to fall out, which you can then "rescue" along with other animals by hitting it with the ball. Rescue enough animals at your level and you move up to the next level which is . . . rescuing a similar number of animals by hitting them with the ball while playing single player Pong, except THIS time . . . the background is a little different! Again, look at the pictures and you will see the similarity of all the levels. The "fun" quizzes are single questions which appear between levels. Typically they are in the form of "What group of animals is called a 'bevy'?" or "What animal goes 'baaa'?"A wii version view of the game can be seen on Youtube at [...]Watch the video. If you would like 180 levels of that--buy it. If not, move on.[Notes - 1. I did not make the Youtube video, I'm just pointing you to it as the only example of the game in action that I could find. 2. This review is based up making it through 25 of the 180 levels.]

Let's not get carried away...
This game is relatively entertaining but mindless. It's essentially a themed, story version of Breakout or Brickbreaker or the like. The animal element makes it fun for kids, and the music is nice and catchy, but let's not put this in the pantheon of Wii goodness. My 7-year old loves it, the rest of us are fairly bored with it. We play on a 46" screen, not sure if the animals would be recognizable at smaller sizes. This feels like a flash game or even iPhone app expanded to a more expensive but not necessarily more substantial game.

Nice game awesome price
I loved this game on the computer a long while back. Was surprised to find it available on the wii. I'm awful late to the wii console however after recieving the system and only a couple games for free via a friend I came here on Amazon to find some nice cheap games to help me pass the time. This game def fits the bill. Very easy to play, the graphics arent terrible and it's a pretty mindless game which is a good thing when I want to relax and unwind. Very pleased.

Grandkids love it
This game is basically mindless fun. No Heavy thought needed. it is however addictive in that you want to keep going. my Grandkids are 8, 6, and 5 and all 3 can enjoy it. The easy level has little quizzes and they are having fun learning new stuff. The 8 year old reads it for the 5 year old. Because the levels save automatically, they can easily take turns doing a level each without feeling like the others got to go longer.

Great game for Kids
We ordered this game for our kids, ages 5 & 9, for Christmas. They both enjoy the challenge. While it isn't their favorite game it is different from the other games and so they have been playing it during the holiday break. Even Mom & I have been playing it too. It sort of reminds me of the old Break Out games from way, way back when.

Holding the interest of a ten year old
Doctor Fizzwhizzle's Animal Rescue was a very popular game with my ten year old granddaughter. She is fond of all kinds of animals, and after a ten day visit, I noticed that she still had not reached the end. She was able to comprehend the purpose of the game and work it out entirely on her own. She never required help but was totally involved in the action activity. I'd rate the game with a full five stars.I purchased the game from Amazon. It was delivered quickly, had been well packaged, and was an attractive gift.

Don't bother with this game.
Bought this for my grandchildren, ages 5 & 7. It was a complete waste of money. Simplistic and uninteresting for both of them. They played for no more than 20 minutes and declared it a "dud". It now simply occupies shelf space.
