Wahl Ultra Close Cut Pro Clipper #79111-1301

I bought this clipper for $35 over a year and a half ago at a local store and have saved over $1300 in barber visits during that time! I cut my hair every 2 weeks and keep my hair short using the green (1.5mm) and purple (4.5mm) guards to cut with and they do a fantastic job! I just recently noticed they would not cut through my hair as quickly as they used to and sometimes pull my hair. I keep the clipper maintained, cleaning and oiling the clipper and blades after every use. I believe the blades are becoming dull, so I called Wahl to see about some new blades. They informed me that this clipper has a 5 year warranty and said to send it in for repair or replacement, but turn around could be 3 - 6 weeks! I sent it in as they requested, but needed something to cut my hair with until I get my clipper back from Wahl. I like this clipper and wanted another, so I shopped around and found the same one here on Amazon. It was on sale back in January for $20.19 so I snatched it up quick! I have since used it a few times and work great as expected! For the money, I couldn’t beat getting a second clipper and accessories which I will use as spares once my other is returned. Great clipper and great customer service!

I bought these to replace my ancient Wahl close cut clippers. These are almost identical and cut about the same when no attachments are used...which is very close to the skin. I never cut myself on my head or my face when using these or my old ones and I'd guess you'd have to have really sensitive skin if that happened. The only place I have to be careful is on the softer skin under my chin: if I go in at the wrong angle and I might nick myself.I've never cleaned or lubed my old clippers either and even after years they're still sharp and work well.These are great clippers if you want to get a close cut.

Purchased this after years and years of use of my previous Wahl Ultra Close Clippers caused the cord to start to pull out of the razor. Be warned if you do have moles or pimples or other raised skin bumps on your head this could cause them to bleed. I did get a pimple once and had to be very careful around it for about a week until it healed. Other than that never had any problems with cutting my scalp as some have said and I use this every 2-5 days for the last year and a half. I still have my hair but prefer a short, shaved look. It has left some minor scratches that didn't break the skin when I've used it for shaving my chest at times. The only complaint would be the cord. No matter how you wrap it if you store it in the provided bag the cord will kink/bind up. Maybe the solution is a retractable cord but that would make the razor larger so Idk.

Can't speak to durability (but it's built like a tank) but of all the clipper's I've used, this is the first I thought was worthy of the associated claims.I like the heft and carrying bag and the fact it feels like a quality product. The funny thing is the company makes other clippers sold at the same price that are, if you pardon the expression, crappy. This is my third Wahl clippers (the other two were bought at a big box store) and this is the first I've had no complaints about.

This is the worst item I bout online with Amazon. Either it has been used before or it is a very cheap product. Also, it comes without adjustable head which you can pull back/forth when you want to cut your hair a little lower/higher. My old one has a hand which you press or push to pull the head forward or backward. This none doesn't. The first time I took it out of the case to try it, it started pulling my hair. With some maneuvering, I was able to cut my hair, which was difficult to make level and balanced. I intend to return it and buy similar to my old one.

Stopped working at 4 uses. Worked ok. Before that. Wish you could manual adjust the blade a bit for hight as well. Turned out the adjustment was just very touchy and would turn it off.

If you're looking for a clipper to shave your head with, this is the one. Not as close as using a razor, obviously, but still pretty close.I did have to adjust the ahead, per the instructions, which was easy.I've shaved my head and back of my neck with it perhaps ten times, with no trouble and no nicks.

Usually I'm an Andis guy for clippers and trimmers over the years and even oster but recently I've bought the wahl ultra close cut pro and they cut great out of the box no adjustments needed and they are quiet. I also have the 5 star wahl trimmer and these wahls cut great. No regrets, they get the job done. Wahl might become my go to clippers for now on.
