The Best Book Ever
This book was recommended by a friend. My son is in the 12 grade, got accepted into seven college, offered nice merit scholarships, but still left me with at least $18,000 each year of education. I attended college myself, but never attempted to fill out for any scholarships and did not know where to start. It was very frustrating with online advertisements for scholarships and keeping track of what I did and did not do. This book is the ultimate guide and there is every scholarship know to man. It's easy to keep track of what you are doing and you can skip the ones you don't qualify for easily. I suggested this book to friends and family for kids of all ages. You will be surprised with what you can get. Please get this book for you child's future, it is a great resource for now and the future.

Valuable Information
We have a high school senior and we are determined to see him graduate from college debt free. I have read the entire intro to the book and it has helped tremendously, there are hundreds of scholarship opportunities in the book and valuable information for applying. My son is my first child who is graduating, so I am out of my element as for what I need to do and how to help my son, this book is helping navigate the process. Even if he only gets one scholarship because of the book, it will make the purchase worth it. I highly recommend this book to any parent or high school junior or senior.

A Good Reference, but There is Room for Improvement
Gen Tanabe and Kelly Tanabe's "The Ultimate Scholarship Book 2020: Billions of Dollars in Scholarships, Grants and Prizes" is an excellent reference book for those seeking financing options for higher education. It is easy to follow, organized well and easy to understandComplaints include having to sign-up for due date notices on the scholarships (why not just put them in the book) and it is missing a lot of competitions mentioned in similar guides. Overall, an excellent resource, but there is definitely room for improvement. Overall, I'd rate it about 4.6.

Need a searchable tool
Great Info. Do you have PDF or excel format files to provide to the people who purchase the book? So We can do quick search/filter on the Scholarship. Let me know. Thanks.

Resourceful But Inaccurate Information
I'm a college Junior hoping to earn some tuition money to cover upcoming fall tuition. I purchased this book with the hope that it would be an invaluable resource to helping me find and apply to scholarships. I spent days combing through 2,000+ scholarships looking for ones I might apply for, and from those prioritizing the ones I would apply to first. It was in this prioritizing phase, individually looking up each scholarship on the website codes through the book's website that I found many scholarships I thought I would qualify for had incorrect deadlines, amounts, and some links even led me to scholarships from 2018. It was a frustrating process, and after a lot of time spent eliminating scholarships due to faulty information I am left with less than 100 to apply to. There may even be some that I originally eliminated but I may qualify for if the info is incorrect, but the thought of combing back through the book is infuriating.I will say though that the information in the beginning, about how to find and win the scholarships, crafting the best essay and resume along with acing recommendations and interviews is extremely helpful. That, and other failed attempts to find large amounts of scholarships that I qualify for on websites is the reason I don't give this book 1 star.So be aware that this book is helpful, but it will require LOT of additional time not only sorting through scholarships but also fact checking the info.

Helpful scholarship information for students, parents and/or professionals.
Helpful product for helping students apply for financial aid. It is well organized, easy to follow and it is easy for student to review application, make application and follow deadlines without waiting for a counselor to have an appointment time open.

One~stop search for thousands of available scholarships.
As this was a gift for a high schooler, it served its purpose of listing thousands of scholarships they might have been unaware of. My only recommendation ~ don’t wait to get until student is graduating, as the entire process takes a long time to get to acceptance/denial. Also valuable for anyone looking for a scholarship, not just a high school student.
