Excellent progressions of diamond plates to sharpen any bladed object.
The media could not be loaded. These sharpening plates are a great addition to my sharpening kit. I use them to sharpen everything from kitchen knives, to wood chisels, to plane irons. These stones do the bulk of any sharpening I do for my tools. I use these stones in conjunction with Trend U*DWS/HP/LS Honing Compound Leather Strop charged with Green Chrome Oxide Compound, 6 oz. to achieve the blades I have uploaded photos and videos of in this review. The only drawback to these plates are that they are just short of 2 inches wide even though it is advertised as 2 inches wide. Another thing that is odd about their dimension, is that the height is not constant from plate to plate. This does not bother me much and there may be a good reason for it--I am not sure.Dimensions can be seen on the photos I have attached.Included in this set are 3 plates--300 grit, 600 grit, and 1200 grit. These plates DO NOT come with the wooden holder trays. I made those myself in order to be able to lock the plate into a vice. It is relatively easy to make some quick recessed wooden blocks to hold these plates.Pros:*All grits work as advertised*Nice and flat*I am able to turn a burr no problem on these platesCons:*Just shy of advertised 2 inch width (Around 1 15/16 inch wide). So this prevents me from sharpening a 2 inch plane iron using a honing guide. (-1/2 a star).Additional Considerations:The 2 inch width problem stated above can be worked around. I just hold the blade diagonally to sharpen it. This prevents me from using a honing guide but I find myself relying less on the honing guides these days any ways. It would be nice to get the full 2 inch width though.Another thing--DO NOT use water as medium for sharpening on these plates. It will rust the plate. I personally use some windex and it works perfectly without rusting the plates or getting your hands too dirty. Pick up some SafeTouch Nitrile Exam Gloves, Non Latex, Powder Free, Large, Box/100 if you do not want the windex on your hands.Overall: 4.5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 starsIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Would happily buy again!
Absolutely love these stones, they cut great and you can put whatever edge you want on your blade. I’ve used them quite a bit since I bought them and they still cut and work like a light bulb before planned obsolescence!

Impressed
I am not a good sharper by no means but after trying to sharpen my knife, which was rounded off more than a butter knife, it now has an edge that will cut again. I am not good enough at the moment the make a blade sharp enough to cut a shadow but cutting zip ties, tape, rope and cardboard along with the occasional apple this product has been just fine. I am not sure about the longevity of these but seem well built. The box says "it will smooth over time and actually improve in sharpening efficiency". I can tell after one use the 300 and 600 are smoother than when I started but the stones are still aggressive enough to shape the steel the way I intended it to.

Work great, be aware of the size
These are the advertised grits after you follow the instructions to break them in. Seem super rough before that, just use a cheap steak knife to break them in and it’ll be fine. I got the 6x2 set of three, wish I had the 8x3 instead. Probably the best bang for your buck if you’re looking for diamond stones. If the manufacturer reads these, I’d be willing to give the bigger set a good test run.

This is the BEST sharpening system EVER
SUPERB knife sharpening tools. I have tried many kinds of sharpening systems—some good and some not so much. These three stones, when used as directed, will bring any knife to SCALPEL sharpness. Very impressive. The instructions are quite adequate to use the stones properly. These are QUALITY diamond coated stainless steel stones. If you have high quality steel knives you want to sharpen or touch up, but DON’T want to take off a lot of metal, this is the system you are looking for.

Nice small sharpening stone
I sharpened a few knives and grinded down a couple of metal things to be bit smoother on it already. Very durable grit, easy to clean unlike the old dished wetstone I had. I have a little wooden platform it fits perfectly on. Love the sharpening stones so far. Just wish there were higher grits on the small ones than 1200, would love a 3k or 6k grit one this small for mirror polish. For my knives I do have a strop so 1.2k grit is fine. Would recommend anyone giving these a shot.

1200 grit stone contaminated with larger diamond grit
As you can see in the microscope photo, the 1200 grit stone has substantial contamination of larger diamond particles. It cuts like the 600 grit stone, or even a bit coarser. The 300 and 600 grit stones are actually quite uniform and nice, but the poor 1200 grit stone is a deal breaker. Returning for refund.

Quality product
Owned it for better part of the year now. Used to sharpen several different high-end steels. Thoroughly satisfied.
