Purchased for 6 and 7 year old who are good swimmers to swim in lake. Kids loved wearing life jacket to just float around. This is my favorite of 2 brands which I bought because it works great. I would say it is small though. Ideal age kid 5-6. Its very tight on my 7 year old and very little room to adjust.

Very reasonably priced and perfect for both girls and boys. Fits well- very comfortable. Nice, bright blue. Allowed for lots of mobility. We purchased for my son to attend sailing camp and it was a good price for that. I realized this is the same life jacket we find on many of our friends boats, so it seems to be a standard and relied upon life jacket here on the west coast of Florida.

This is amazing. My daughter doesn't know how to swim, but this life jacket has helped her a lot. At first, she would have to stay by the stairs while the other kids played in the deep end, so we got her this life jacket. She now has so much fun in the water. She can now play with the kids. It is easy to put on. She has a great deal of fun in the water. I recommend this product.

I have purchased the oversize adult vests like this and they have work very well, and I have two small grand-children in the target range, so I purchased two of these youth sizes. They arrived with the belts essentially all of the way out, I tried one out on the 80 pound child first and it seemed to be a tight fit. Then with no changes, I tried it on the 55 pounder, and the fit seemed equally tight. Then I realized that the belts essentially clearing the material of the vest, thus, the reason why they arrived with the belts at or almost full length. We tried them out, and they worked out. Strangely, the smaller child complained more about a tight fit, perhaps because the material has to be compressed much more to snug it down to his size and might be bunching up. The older child did get in the water with it on, and felt secure. I think that it might have loosed up a bit with use. So, initially I was giving them a three, and have changed to a four star. The construction certainly seems robust.

Safe soft and durable

My son is autistic and still learning to swim. This life vest is great at making sure he stays safe in the water but still lets him swim properly when he wants to! He also has sensory differences and doesn't mind wearing this!

My 5 year old son is on the heavier side. The vest keeps him a float with no problem. It's great because he was so scared to get in water before. Now, he has a lot of confidence knowing he will be safe in the water with the vest on.

The vest kept going up to the neck even after strapping it really tight. It is hard to swim with it and even float since it doesn't stay in place. My kid said it was uncomfortable and hurt her neck after wearing it. I would recommend another one that has the bottom strap to secure it better.
