Interested in getting into VR? Then this is your gateway headset.
This is a FANTASTIC VR headset. I spent about two weeks watching YouTube reviews of different smartphone VR headsets and in the end I went with this Homido unit. For starters it has great lenses (which I learned after buying a cheap knock-off is REALLY important). It gives you a nice wide field of view and is very comfortable to wear. It is padded and it doesn't get uncomfortable to wear even for long periods of time.It has a free app that goes with it that is also top notch allowing you to watch VR from YouTube or other videos you have downloaded to your smart phone. I use an iPhone 6 Plus with it which fits in the phone slot and fills the field of view. It also comes with a great case and other inserts to help you adjust the lenses to your specific viewing distance.A definite solid purchase if you are looking into getting into the world of VR.

Homido for iPhone 6
Being a little generous with the 3 star review. I'll start with the feel. It is very light weight on the face. Has a cheaper foam like something you would expect inside a packing box but a little softer. Their was a little gap around the nose area which let a small amount of light in. All over all the feel was okay but nothing great.Next I'll go with the field of view. Did not really make me feel immersed. Just kind of looked like I was seated really close to a 3D tv because I could still see black on the side no matter how much I moved the phone around. The image was clear enough but the resolution was a little lacking due to the IPhone 6 smaller screen and resolution. Perhaps with a galaxy phone with higher resolution and slightly bigger screen would of been better. It was pretty cool as things did feel like they were sticking out but after trying a display model of the Samsung VR it is nowhere as close and no comparison.Did not like the way you put the phone in. It is not padded on any way and I was really scared of scratching my phone up.Tried the Discovery App. That was the only real nice app I could find. Was kind of cool being able to look around and do a 360 and the screen turned as you did. Could not get any of my videos to play. Tried to stream apps wondering if the 2D would just look like a big movie screen. IT DID NOT. The screen is way to close and cannot adjust the side of the video playing even with the HOMIDY app. Did not get the distortion like some viewers complained of. Just to close. All over all I was disappointed and put it back in the box to return as it is not worth nearly 80 bucks. Maybe 40 at best.I will try my luck perhaps with the Zeiss or the Freefly as they are somewhat similar until my IPhone contract is up and I can switch to a Galaxy and Gear VR.

Great potential, bad implementation
This headset shows good intentions, but the design is highly flawed. I was very excited to try out this product and tried not to be biased by other reviews here and other places online. The biggest complaint that I've encountered is that the headset is too small, more fit for a child rather than an adult. I ignored this and well...BIG mistake. I would say that I have an average sized head and face so I figured that this would fit comfortably, but I quickly found that the cushion collapses too easily which left me with a subtle ache in my face after more than a few minutes.I started by testing the headset with the Homido Center and Video player. For a couple of minutes it showed potential, however after trying to get the focus correct and failing miserably I was very disappointed. In the few instances that I was able to get things in-focus the experience was not so bad. InMind VR in particular raised my hopes, but after further testing I found that the view could not be focused. After my experience with InMind VR I decided to test Trinus VR with Elite Dangerous. The experience was the same. In the brief moment where things seemed to be in-focus it was very cool, but slight turns of the ship was all it took to take things out of focus. Also the edges are very blurry even when you do manage to temporarily get a view in focus.PROS: Phone can easily be removed, inserted and charged, it provides you with dials to adjust focus, the headband allows you to support it on your faces hands-free, lenses are provided for people who are near or far sighted (I have normal sight)CONS: Not very comfortable for more than a few minutes, difficult to focus view (maybe I got a defect)This is the first product that I've felt a need to review and the first product that I have returned to Amazon (or online in general). Thank you Amazon for getting it shipped quickly. I'm hoping for a speedy refund so that I can put the funds towards a more premium product. The brief moments of the VR experience have me looking forward to the future of VR.
