Worked fine to make a fridge water line work again.
Does what it's supposed to do and made the fridge water line work after replacing the old part.

Water above power...WTF? Stupid and potentially hazardous.
This set of solenoid valves works just fine but here's something to note: they put the water above the electricity which is pretty stupid. The bracket and hookups were a direct replacement fit to the original ones on my fridge but on the original set the 120V solenoids are ABOVE the press-fit (shark bite type) water fittings. My old one over the years started to leak a bit as evidenced by the mineral deposits at those fittings. With this new set, when they eventually start to leak, they're going to drip right onto the 120V power. Stupid design. I tried flipping the assembly over but the valves won't open upside down so you have no choice but to install it with the water over the power. If the original had power over water why flip it? Again...stupid, potentially hazardous design.

Good for for Kenmore model 59582990 replaced FSP part # 2205762
This worked great to replace 2205762. Robert Shaw is a reputable OEM part supplier so I was sure it would be a good part. This was not an exact fit for my older Kenmore but was easily mounted and installed and works great. Terminals on original part faced rearward (outboard towards back of ‘fridge) new part the terminal face inboard, you just move the connectors slightly and plug in the back of the new part You can’t mix them up as the spade lugs are different sizes. Water connections are now ‘Push to connect’, which is nice, just trim your older plastic hoses a bit if they are fitted with nut and furred connections. Push them fully in until there is a noticeable click, then test for security by pulling back.I did have to move a copper water line inlet Rt. Angle fitting & bracket that was previously swagged to the old valve mtg. Bracket. But it mounted fine just below. Both ice maker and filtered cold water dispense working fine now.

Same Robertshaw IMV-708 as sold from other vendors
Most people don't know you can also use this to replace a GE fridge WR57X10032, WR57X33326, WR32X10032, WR57X10051, etc. in addition to the other brands, so long as there's enough space in your GE fridge machining compartment for a valve that doesn't have the same form factor. (Note that the GE version also has a threaded connection for the filter, which I bypass since I use an RO unit, so my water is already filtered.) What's important to know is that this valve has the same electric and tube parametrics as most other models:115/120 Volt input.Output:20W, larger tube, smaller electric leads - probably for water dispenser on your fridge, but maybe not.35W, smaller tube, larger electric leads - probably for Icemaker on your fridge, but maybe not. They all work together, if you have enough space and don't care about screwing it down to the right spot.
