FUJIFILM FinePix S9900W Digital Camera
So far the remanufactured camera is operating like a new camera. I hesitated purchasing a remanufactured camera; however, I have heard super reviews - since remanufactured cameras are thoroughly inspected and cleaned. This FUJIFILM FinePix S9900W Digital Camera is clean! This camera, I find to be lightweight and has a good grip. On the downside for me - is the amount of noise generated by the on/off switch. In addition, I find myself really consciously pushing the button to slide on/off. The other minor issue that is not a function issue - is the back closure to the batteries and card reader. Seems that I am struggling to move the switch to open and the first time - I wasn't sure how the closure opened to the batteries and card reader. Otherwise, the camera overall has a clear lens and finding the telephoto and wide angle lens extremely easy to operate. The clarity of the photographs is the usual top quality from FUJI. And the amount of features - I haven't even touched the surface! The company I purchased this camera from has been outstanding. When I contacted the seller before my purchase with some questions, they responded timely and completely answered my questions. I found this company to be professional and would purchase from them again.

Unhappy customer
Very happy with this camera.. It eats batteries. I have already been thru 20 sets of batteries. Now when I put 4 new batteries in the reading says the batteries are bad.. Turns out this camera only came with a 30 day warranty. Buyer beware.

Good camera at what it is intended to do
OK, first of all this is NOT a DSLR or even a "cheap DSLR." While you can control some things manually (such as shutter speed, aperture, etc.) it can be frustratingly limited. What it does well is, for a relatively low price, gives you a lens that has a strong "zoom" and can also do "macro" shots. It is a really good "point-and-shoot" and if that is how you intend to use it you will likely be VERY satisfied. The quality of construction is pretty marginal. It is fairly lightweight and not terribly durable. But if you are careful it is not going to fall apart in your hands. But if you want to really use the zoom PLAN on using a tripod of some kind. It is nearly impossible to get a clear image without something to hold the camera still. My example pictures of the magpie were pretty much at maximum zoom with a tripod and I still had some trouble getting a clear shot (even the attached ones aren't particularly good). The pictures with the horse give some idea how well the zoom can work.Good:Can handle a wide variety of pictures from "zoom" to "macro."The picture quality isn't going to win any prestigious competitions but if you just want to capture a moment it can do that. The manual settings are pretty easy to use. If you know what you are doing it won't take you long to master it.Bad:Any time a single lens is intended to be used for a 50x optical zoom AND macro/super macro some quality is going to be lost (jack of all trades, master of none).Zoom is electric so it can take a few moments to get the zoom where you want it. I had an older model of a Fujifilm camera where I could manually rotate the lens to "zoom" and it was MUCH faster.AA batteries can get expensive after a while compared to a rechargeable battery but sometimes it is nice to just throw in some new batteries you can get at any store/gas station and not have to hope that it is charged. The SD Card slot is in the battery compartment. My tripod uses a piece that screws into the tripod space on the camera that I have to remove to get the SD card out. Not a huge deal, but in my previous version of a fujifilm bridge camera the SD card slot was more easily accessible on the side.Summary: If you are looking for a DSLR but just don't want to pay the extra several hundred dollars (minimum) you are going to be disappointed. It is better to think of this as a "point-and-shoot" with a really big zoom than as a "economically priced DSLR." If you can accept it for what it is it can be a really good camera.

Best Camera Ever! Don't listen to thise negative reviews please!
I was very weary to buy this camera because of the bad reviews, but I had a good feeling about this camera, and got it anyways. I have to say, I am so glad I got it!! This camera is well constructed, came packaged very well, it's easy to learn how to use it, and I'm very impressed! I recommend this amazing camera to anyone who needs a reliable camera at a wonderful price, seriously, the price! And it does come with the aa batteries, but you can chose to change your battery type on the camera settings. I love this camera, and was so glad I didn't listen to the sore reviews from picky people. Please don't listen to the bad things, see the good!!😏

I love this camera
I love this camera, it is even better than my old Fuji Fine Pix which I gave to my daughter. It has so many fetrures that you can use without using different filters. Keep up the good work. The only problem now is that the USB port does not always connect with the computer and is not recognized by the computer without me wiggling it around. I called your tech support and I would have to send it in, but I cannot be without it for ? weeks. And I cannot hoop it up wirelessly, so I wll have to use the SD card.

Not impressed
I bought this as a camera I can take to places where I will not be able to charge a proprietary battery, and wanted to be able to take extra AA's with me. So far the focus is off on almost every shot in every mode, and even when not touching it, the EVF/LCD selection randomly flips back and forth. Colors on pictures are not too accurate, and the LCD is usually washed out in almost any lighting. Did I just get a bad one in the batch or is this camera supposed to be as good as many of the reviews list?

Exceeded Expectations
I have used this camera for a few months now. I wanted a bridge camera that had the convenience of replaceable lithium batteries. It replaced a similar, but older Canon bridge that was lost. I live near Yosemite National Park and take a lot of pictures in the mountains and along the coast. The photos (developed at Costco) are amazingly clear! And I am just using the auto settings on the camera. I bought a case at Best Buy that was on a clearance sale that fits the camera perfectly. Needless to say, this camera exceeded my expectations.
