Maui Kool Wooden Watch Hana Collection for Women Analog Wood Watch Bamboo Box

I was so excited to get this watch. I loved the color of the wood, and the color of the face of the watch. When it arrived, I was pumped how light the wood felt and how comfortable it felt on my wrist. And yes, the few times I wore it out in public I got compliments on it.Why 2 stars??Because after paying nearly $80 for this watch, and wearing it a handful of times in the last month, I noticed how cheap the crystal face was--it has pits and stains in it. If you hold the watch at the right angle, you can see how dirty it is, even with cleaning. Paying $80 to receive a watch that's as cheaply sourced with materials like this saddens me and angers my bank account. I'd expect to get a crappy watch when paying $7 but I paid almost $80. I have Fossil watches from the 90's that still look brand new on the face, and I spent $55 on those. Also, the clasp sometimes just pops out when I try to secure it, so I rarely wear this in large public places.What gives, Maui Kool?? Do you like and enjoy laughing at your customers when you take our money like this??

I've been searching for a high quality, lightweight wooden watch for over a year, and I fell in love with the options at Maui Kool! Their Hana collection is sized for women, but it's still the boyfriend watch style without feeling like you're wearing a dinner plate on your wrist. This gorgeous watch arrives beautifully packaged in a white embossed box that protects the lovely bamboo and foil-stamped gift box. The watch was encircling a stuffed, burlap pillow, and the time was already set to the current time EST.It took me a little bit to figure out how to un-clasp and reclasp the watch, but it works well, and I like it better than traditional one-way hinge clasps. The zebra wood has gorgeous multi-colored striations. And, I love the turquoise face that isn't flat, but slightly textured from the center out toward several of the radii around the watch face. There is a smaller circle that times the seconds. 8 of the numbers on the watch face are crystals. There's a roman numeral for the XII and VI.The watch hands, roman numerals, seconds chronograph are gold-colored metal. I do not know whether they are gold-plated. Per the item description, it is Japanese quartz movement. I'm not certain yet how accurate the time piece keeps time over the course of a week, but I'll revise this review if there are any noticeable deviations.According to Maui Kool's website, it's simple to remove any watch links. This watch is about 2 links too large for my wrist. I watched a youtube video of a similar watch when I found the instructions on Maui's site needing more visual aid. So, a video posted from a competitor's site was helpful, however, I still lack the tools to make this happen. I plan to go to a watch/jewelry store right away to size the watch appropriately so that I can wear and enjoy my watch! I strongly recommend that Maui Kool upload a video of how to resize the watch links for those of us who are visual learners. Plus, it helps us see a variety of tools that would assist such a technique.This really is a beautiful, gift-ready watch in a keep-sake bamboo box. Also, compared to other companies on Amazon that carry similar watches, their prices seem most competitive. I appreciate their 2 year warranty for registered watches, and a 1 year warranty for unregistered users. Plus, as a thank you, they provide a nice 15% off coupon inside the gift box to encourage customer loyalty.Even though I purchased this watch as a review item, I am such a fan that I plan to purchase from them again in the future...this watch is such a great gift option! This watch is GORGEOUS! The blue face and the zebrawood are very complementary. I recently purchased a JORD watch for $275. I had to return it twice for repair. This watch looks exactly like the JORD and the craftsmanship is excellent. In my opinion, the differences do not warrant the price. The JORD watch has a second hand and is self-winding. The Maui Kool is battery operated with Roman Numerals. Buy it! You won't be disappointed! I absolutely love my watch! I am usually very nervous about ordering a watch because they are often too small. I have to wear an 8 in bracelet, and this watch is roomie enough that I didn't have to upsize, even if I swell I have enough room. It is extremely light and I forget I have it on half of the time. The rose gold face is easy to see and big enough that I can tell the time without having to get a magnifying glass ... yay age lol. It is beautifully constructed, the clasp stays shut and is easy to open when I take it off. I was also impressed that they sent an email explaining how to set the time, date, and how to add/remove links if necessary. I will definitely buy from them again!!!I should also include how the watch was shipped and delivered. The delivery time was spot on, I received my watch in the estimated time given (2 days:)) It arrived in a beautiful wooden case that kept the watch secure and safe. No nicks, or dings or smudges. The case was also inside of another box that protected everything form the bouncing, bumping and tossing that we all know happens when an item is shipped.The description given of the watch given was perfect. I know that with today's market, we are all a little skittish about product reviews and we are not sure if we will really receive what we think we are ordering - but this was not the case this time. The crystals sparkle and shine and the face is easy to read. The watch band color was a little different, but we are told that it might be. The important thing was that it matched the tone of the watch face - perfectly.***Update****I have had my watch a few months now and wear it everyday. I still love it and it looks amazing! It keeps excellent time and is so comfortable. Unfortunately it broke, BUT as soon as I contacted Maui Kool I received a response saying they can fix it! Again a wonderful example of amazing customer service. I highly recommend this company and their product!

I first saw a similar watch on a different web site. It was $275. This watch looks just as good & way cheaper! I've gotten so many compliments on it, it is a beautiful watch, I defiantly recommend it

This is a beautiful watch, purchased for my wife as a Christmas present. It arrived on time and exactly as advertised, and she loves it! Keeps time perfectly so far (it has only been a week), and was easily adjustable with the extra links sent with the box. You can’t find a watch like this in local stores, I recommend the Maui Kool product for their beautiful and unique design.

Nice watch, my wrists are small so I had to get a link taken out. the colour is beautiful, it is as it appears pictured.
