This quilt is worth every penny!
I first ordered the Tribeca Living Florence oversized quilt in Taupe. It arrived in good time and came well packaged. My first and only issue with this item was that it was more of a rich brown than taupe. However, the quilt is well finished, doesn't look cheap and feels really soft to the touch. I had to return it for a lighter colour (ivory) which I prefer. My partner asked me to order the "taupe" which is actually brown for him and he loves it! I ordered the green one for a friend too and I'm about to order more for a friend who's house I'm doing up. It comes true to size and adds a bit of glamour to your space. I have uploaded pictures of both colours, ivory and brown. I am lazy with leaving reviews, but I had to do this because I am really happy with my purchase.

Love Love LOVE!!!
I sleep on top of my comforter, and like to sleep under a semi-thick blanket that I can fold and leave on the end of the bed during the day. I've bought several blankets recently... none were quite right (too short, too thin, wrong shade of silver-gray).This is THE one!!! It's a beautiful silver-grey, the quality is fantastic (from the soft, velvety fabric- to the accuracy of the lines of stitching, very nice!), the packaging was right on (it arrived on time and perfect condition), and the thickness is just right (not a summer blanket, but also not enough for a cold winter blizzard).Extremely pleased with this set- strongly reccomend!

Doesn’t last long
Absolutely love this quilt. So beautiful and soft. The only thing that can be improved is the price. It’s pretty pricey.UPDATE: After having this less than one month, the threads are already coming loose. It’s very disappointing considering it’s a $70 item. Don’t waste your money. Learn from my mistake.Update #2: We’ve had this now for a little over 2 months and it is falling apart. DO NOT PURCHASE. I’ve bought comforters from Walmart for half the price and they’ve lasted me years! So disappointing!

I must say that this silver/gray comforter is perfect for the group
I wanted to write a review and let everyone know what a gorgeous comforter set this is. My furniture is a silver and platinum color with bling bling accents. I must say that this silver/gray comforter is perfect for the group. The only problem is the comforter has what resembles oil streaks on it; but Amazon has already initiated a replacement for it. I highly recommend this item 5 stars. I am considering ordering another color to use as a second set.

Nap is soft in all directions. Meets my tactile assessment. Burgundy is a maroon shade
I purchased the Burgundy in queen size for a full size bed. The fit is perfect. The quality is excellent. Although it is 100% polyester, the backing is not slick, so it shouldn't slide off the bed when you roll over. The sham is backed with cotton like fabric, not velvet backed. This is a sign of a lower quality quilt set. The Brielle velvet comforter set does have velvet backed shams. I have not deducted a star for the sham backing, but I probably should have. This comforter is a tad bigger and heavier weight than the Brielle velvet set.The color is more maroon than the jewel tone pictured. Since I purchased as a warehouse deal, I will keep it as the price was fair. At full price, it would have been returned because the color just didn't match the pictures. The maroon shade does not fit with my granddaughters color scheme. So, I am purchasing another brand velvet comforter in another color and will try again. The corners are all squared on this comforter. This is a good thing because depending on the direction of the nap, the color is very different. You may need to turn it end to end to obtain the visual shade you prefer. It is much darker one way than the other. Also, the pillow shams need to be turned the same direction as the comforter nap or they appear to be a completely different color. Both the comforter and shams are self trimmed in the velvet fabric. Because of this, the trim at the top of the sham does not appear to be the same color as the trim at the bottom of the sham. They ARE the same color/same fabric. Again, the direction of the nap on the velvet fabric causes a visual color difference. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but if this will bother you, a heads up.Having the shams included is a big plus. It is a bother to purchase shams separately.I will either gift this comforter to someone or set it aside to pull out in December to put together a Christmas themed bedroom.I have not laundered this set yet, so I can not comment on how well it will wash up. Another review suggested that this comforter needs to be line dried in the shade. I assume this is due to the color possibly fading in the sun. No problem. Hang with the velvet side in. Who cares if the back fades a tad in the sun? Or hang it out in the evening and collect it in the morning. After it is dry, I will put it on air dry in my dryer to fluff it up. I line dry all my bedding. Even in the winter on clear days. Sunshine fresh and UV sanitized. This comforter is quite heavy for a washing machine. Especially the new washers. I would only attempt washing this in a front loader. The top loaders with a center agitator would probably tear this up. This is a function of the center agitator and the weight of the comforter and does not impune the quality of the quilt. Water set at the highest level does not fill the tub in the new top load water conservation models. So, you may not want to risk using a top load washer for this item. I HATE the new water saving washing machines! But, that is another story.I ALWAYS launder bedding prior to use. Two reasons: chemical contamination and the presence of fecal contamination on fabrics coming from outside our Country. Independent laboratory testing has confirmed a high rate of fecal contamination on fabrics, including bedding and clothing. I wash everything before using or wearing. The studies were too gross and the findings too conclusive for me to ignore.Always add Borax to your wash to keep fabrics soft. Do not dry ANYTHING in the dryer on high heat. High heat damages fabric. Synthetics are especially vulnerable to high heat.Update: That being said, I decided to do my worst with the first washing. If it was going to come apart, I wanted it to happen within the return window. So, I took the burgundy comforter and shams to the laundromat and washed them in the largest front load machine on the hot water and extra extraction settings. I used about 2 cups of BORAX and a generous squirt of Dawn dish soap in the wash cycle. They came out beautifully. Then I put them in the dryer on high for 10 minutes. +5 minutes, then another +5 minutes. They were about 95% dry when I removed them from the dryer, folded and inspected them. Not a single problem! I was amazed at how much softer the fabric was after washing. This comforter set is beautiful and high quality. It has a nice weight to it. Not too light and not too heavy.I failed to measure the comforter before and after washing, so I can't offer any info on shrinkage.I felt the need to test this comforter with both hot water and high heat drying because I have purchased several more velvet comforters in different colors, some made by different manufacturers, and I wanted to know how the velvet comforters would hold up if they were laundered under the harshest conditions. This comforter passed my test with flying colors. This comforter will be babied from now on. I expect it will have a very long useful life.I am in the process of redressing 3 beds. King, queen and full. When the other velvet comforters arrive I will review and compare them.I would buy a comforter in this style from Tribeca again. I would feel confident giving this as a gift. 5 stars.

Exquisite, high quality!
I never post a review with pictures, but just had to this time. I ordered the taupe for my guest room & it is just gorgeous! I did notice that the colour changes with the lighting, which is something that I really like. Very high quality, soft & luxurious. Washes extremely well; I did not put in dryer though. Have already purchased the cream for my master suite. Can’t wait to get it! Highly recommend.

Withstands regular washing & active small dogs!!!
I purchased this coverlet in burgundy /red and love it so much, purchased another set in navy blue. Here's what I love about it. *** W A S H I N G & D R Y I N G *** I have small dogs who love being on the bed, including with their toys, bones and treats (I have given up trying to police them - LOL!) so any bedspread needs to be easily washable, & good enough quality to withstand regular washing (not to mention good enough quality to withstand my dogs digging & scratching at the bedspread with their paws & their little razor nails!). Anyway, I wash my bedspreads weekly. I specifically wanted a coverlet, not a comforter, because coverlets are easier to wash & dry. Lastly, I wanted something I can wash in a regular washer & dryer, since trotting off to the dry-cleaner or laundromat on a weekly basis would just never happen with my busy schedule. I have washed both the burgundy and navy coverlets in my regular washer, and dried on "High" in my regular tumble dryer on a weekly basis and there has been no fading, no piling, nor colour-transfer. The coverlets are colour-fast. The coverlet literally looks as new as the day I bought it. *** A P P E A R A N C E *** What I LOVE about this coverlet is that it doesn't get wrinkled or crumpled looking, even with my 3 small dogs jumping on and off it, digging at it, moving around, playing with each other. I make the bed in the AM & the bed looks like it was made by a military officer even hours later - clean, crisp, tidy, despite hours of the usual canine shenanigans. Both burgundy and the navy are beautiful, deep, rich, saturated colours. The coverlet has an amazing sheen - which is not to say it is shiny - just that it has a rich sheen that makes the colour a real standout. Lastly, there is a stitched square pattern on the coverlet which gives it a nice texture. **** S I Z E *** The description says "over-sized". I am not sure about this. My bed is a Full. I bought the Queen. So the bedspread should then be REALLY over-sized (a Full is a few inches smaller than a Queen). The coverlet is sufficiently large that it hangs over my bed & box spring, but I can't say the coverlet is super huge. I wouldn't have wanted it any smaller for my Full mattress / box spring. I'm sure the "Queen" would cover a Queen mattress but most people want a bit of over-hang. How much over-hang is really specific to the person & their bed / mattress / box spring / bed frame set up. So I don't know the dimensions of your mattress, whether you have a box spring, whether your mattress is on a bed frame that raises it even higher.... All I would say is if you are hoping for the coverlet to be large enough to hang over your set up, be sure to measure where you want the coverlet to hang to and compare to the coverlet's measurements. *** B O T T O M - L I N E *** My experience has been that this coverlet is perfection. Beautiful rich colour, easy-to-care-for, withstands small dog activity (like digging at it with their nails), stays crisp and structured-looking even with small dogs jumping all over it. No fading, colour-transfer, piling even with numerous washes. I have bought 2 of these to date (burgundy, blue) & would DEFINITELY recommend. The value for the price is very good.

So Soft!
I love this set. It is just as soft and velvety as Ihad hoped. Previous to this I had purchased the Venice Duvet cover from Tribeca Living (in blue) and I loved it but having a duvet is a little heavy for the summer months so I wanted something a little lighter. The blanket itself though has quite a bit more weight to it than I was expecting which is nice because if you wanted too, you could still use it through the winter months. This time around I got the black set for a change of colour and it is very nice. If you are looking to be able to see the quilted pattern though I would recommend going with one of the brighter colours as the darkness of black masks most of the pattern unless you are very close to the bed.I tired to get a photo as I noticed there isn't many of the black set in the reviews but turns out that is probably because, as it turns out, it is really hard to photograph. For some reason it keeps coming through as grey so this picture of the pillow is the best I could get. Hope it helps!

Comfortable, warm and elegant!
Love it. Super soft, warm, beautiful. I usually order king size comforters because my mattress is tall, but I ordered queen (because it's oversized) and it fits perfectly!! Looks elegant. Great buy.

Vibrant, but Not Perfect
The comforter is soft and looks as vibrantly red as the pictures show. After a few weeks of use, I started noticing small white fibers all over the top of the comforter. The stuffing seems to be coming out of the top velvet side. It's not a major inconvenience, or eye-sore, but it is fairly noticable to ms
