Superb best hub for Mac Mini 2018 or 2020
This is a must if you have a 2018 or 2020 Mac Mini. It’s so easy just plug the USBC cable from the hub into one of the USBC sockets at the back of the Mac, place the Mac on top and yr good to go, all those extra ports on the front instead of the back. Their not powered so you can’t charge things their just for data but that’s fine for me. Some reviewers say they have had issues I’ve had none. I’m running Mojave and have magic 2 keyboard and mouse and have experienced zero disconnections. The colour matching is not exact but it’s so close it’s hardly worth mentioning. The power led is not as bright as the one on the Mac but enough so you know it’s on and it really looks the part. It’s well worth the money and as far as hubs go it’s the best one for the Mac Mini. If you want a hub that provides the convenience of front connectivity and cosmetically makes yr Mac look like it should have been there in the first place this is for you.

Great design and functionality let down by colour match
I really like this hub. It covers all the needs that I bought it for, mainly having access to ports on the front and adding card readers to my 2020 Mac mini. It took me a while to get this as it was constantly out of stock, so when amazon had it back complete with a £5 voucher I snapped it up. I think this is the best looking and best functional hub for the Mac Mini. I do feel let down by the colour match tho. It is a slightly lighter grey to the Mac as can be seen in the photo which is such a shame and for this reason i have dropped a star as I love the look of my mac and for the price of this hub i expected a perfect match.Performance wise it ticks all the boxes. All the ports are working fine and as fast as I need. Just be aware that when inserting an SD card that you place it in upside down. The manufacturer claim that this hub is not designed for charging or giving power but I have found that it charges my apple Watch no problem and it also powers and charges my desktop USB fan, so that's a bonus for me.

Silly Apple
A simple & obvious solution to Apple's failings in the design department with the Mac Mini. I've been frustrated with the lack of common sense in the Mini's configuration since purchase (the ports are located on the back, so difficult to swap out devices. It ends up sitting on my desk half way out and turned to the side, to give me access).Satechi have solved the problem with this hub. Styled well, the quality is good, the colour and finish is very close to the Mini and they've even aligned the power light with the Mini so that they look like one, complete unit. Someone's definitely thought about the design and accessibility of this a lot, unlike Apple. Great so far.The only problem I've encountered is that it doesn't always recognise my headphones, so you need to restart the Mini to get the output/input to recognise the 'phones, but a minor quibble for a practical, obvious solution that should have been picked up straight away by Apple's product design when they were designing the original hardware.

Great idea, doesn’t work.
Unfortunately this doesn’t actually work with the 2018 Max Mini if you use an Apple Bluetooth mouse and or keyboard. There is a problem either with the Mac Mini or this stand that means interference cuts out connection to your mouse or keyboard or WiFi, or all three, depending on which USB-C port you use in the back of the Mac Mini. The design is amazing, the look is great, the concept is brilliant but, sadly there cannot have been enough testing done to realise actually it isn’t suitable in all environments.Maybe with a wired keyboard and mouse it’s fine. Maybe it’s ok with a non-Apple set of peripherals, but for me, even without anything you mugged into the hub, it made working on my Mac Mini hard. When I did plug a SSD USB-C drive into the front USB-C port, my Mac ground to a complete halt.Sorry guys, either you, or Apple, or both have got serious issues that make working with this impossible.Sent back as manufacturer failed to reply to emails asking for help.
