Imac 2019 Saver
I have a 2019 IMac that kept randomly shutting down. I took it to the Apple Store and they confirmed it was a RAM failure and offered to repair it for nearly 300 bucks! Luckily this RAM card not only fixed the spontaneous shut down problem, it also improved my computer speed. Incredibly easy instal. Best $40 I ever spent.

Excellent - Saved Buying a New Mac!
I have an older 2019 27" IMac with I5 - 8MB (2x4MB). Just wanted to bump it up to 16MB for genreal household Mac use...nothing fancy or high requirement in our household. Installed myself in about 5 minutes which includes powering down, unplugging accessories, placing upside down and accessing slots. Putting everything back takes about 1 minute and then power it up. Be prepared for a slower start up the first time when you power the Mac up, but verything loaded just fine and now everying (mail, safari, messages, etc, etc) are lightening fast compared to what I had. Several 5-6 minute vids availalbe on YT to put your mind at ease that you can do it yourself.

A Hellava lot better deal than Apple!
It took all of five minutes to install the new RAM which includes shutting down the computer and placing it on a towel to protect the screen (this is a 27" iMac, 2020 vintage). The instructions did not have the release button showing in the actual location, but it was pretty obvious where it was. The RAM chips did not lock in the first time I placed them, then I simply reversed them and they clicked right in. I pushed the locks back in place and closed the lid. Once the computer was upright I pushed the start button. My external drives lit up, but the computer did nothing for about 2 minutes. Then it began booting. The instructions on the Apple site did say that it took a couple of minutes for the computer to recognize the new RAM, so that was expected. Once the computer was fully booted I checked "About this computer/Memory" and it showed that the computer now had 32 GB of RAM. No problems noted, everything works well. Videos seem a bit richer, but I don't expect a lot of noticeable changes since 16 GB handles most basic processes. This RAM was about 1/3 the price of the RAM sold by Apple on its website, and is likely just as good.

Easy Install - 2019 IMac is faster
Easy to install two 16MB cards in slots 2 and 4. Existing 4MB modules remained in slots 1 and 3. Watch a video or read the comments if you are unsure of the procedure. And make sure to press hard on each module to ensure proper seating. If the Apple logo does not reappear within 30-60s, that's likely the issue. I had to reopen the computer once and sure enough, one module was not fully inserted.

Easy to Install
So far, this is a great product. The cards snapped right in and work great.

Product didn't work; vendor customer service non-existent
I had confirmed, both on Amazon and the A-Tech website, that these cards are compatible with my iMac. Inserted the 2x8GB RAM in the open slots and the computer wouldn't boot up. Moved the 'new' memory cards into the slots previously holding Apple RAM (and vice versa) - computer still wouldn't boot up. So I started trying to reach the vendor, both via Amazon and the A-Tech website. It's been over four months and I've had no reply to multiple phone messages and emails submitted via their customer support link, etc. Nothing. I'm well past my Amazon return date, so they have been unable to assist. I finally gave up trying and bought another set of 2x8GB cards by OWC. Installed them and the Mac booted right up. Thankfully, not the most expensive sunk cost, but certainly a frustrating one.

Important info about order of placement if you buy 2x16GB for your 8GB RAM 2019 iMac!
I purchased x2 16GB RAM cards for the new 2019 iMac (Retina 5K, 27”). This is my first Mac computer so I went for the lowest priced option which came with a meager 8GB RAM. As I’m a complete novice, I followed a YouTube tutorial on how to install the cards and it was super easy. Much easier than expected actually. However, this was a brand new computer and my first two attempts in getting it to turn on after installing the cards were unsuccessful. Thinking the A-Tech RAM were faulty and before sending them back, I went through the reviews and found a lady who had the same problem as me and the solution she discovered (after trying yet still obtaining zero technical support from the company) was to add the cards, one Apple, then the other and repeat. So if you have the 2 Apple cards equaling 8GB RAM, leave one in the first slot, then insert the A-Tech card in the second slot, followed by the second Apple Card and then finally, the remaining A-Tech RAM card in the forth slot. I don't know how this would work out if you have purchased a different configuration to me but it worked out so a HUGE thanks to the person that left that review! At the end of the day, installing the RAM yourself is an enormous money saver compared to going through the official channels with Apple and I believe (but am not sure) that this doesn’t void your warranty. So while I cant comment on the improved efficacy after applying the added RAM, everything works very smoothly for me. I can use multiple applications including photoshop without any problem whatsoever.Highly recommended even for a complete newb.
