Dell SE2416H 23.8" Full HD Screen LED-Lit IPS Monitor, HDMI, VGA

Using this in a studio application, as a THIRD monitor connected to a MacBook Pro running Logic Pro X. This is in the vocal recording booth with a blue tooth keyboard and mouse, mounted to the wall. It gives the vocalist a direct view of the software, lets them choose a track to record on, and can be a solo engineer at the same time as the vocalist. This monitor was especially great because when it receives power from the plug, it turns ON. That's great, because this plug powering the monitor in the booth is linked with the LIGHT in the booth, so when you turn on the light, the monitor also turns on. And off when turning off the light. Saves power and makes it more or less automatic when the booth is used. I liked this feature of the monitor. Also have a very long HDMI cable connected and leaving the booth to the computer. It all works well, and three monitors will operate simultaneously as needed in the studio. This monitor has less resolution than the 4K monitors, but the MacBook Pro knows the difference and they all operate in MIRROR mode, so the resolution overall is less when the booth light switch is on. Still plenty of native resolution in this for quick vocal recordings made by the vocalists, on their own.

When I am looking at monitors that do not fall into the extreme or upper tiers, I am mainly looking at style, clarity and function. This monitor really looks nice overall. I ordered a pair of these for the office to update the one on our machine network pc and to have another one to setup new pcs with. They provide a lot of real estate for the money. The clarity is nice and smooth with 0 hiccups. Nice wide base for good stability. Black with the grey looks good and gives the monitor a clean look. The front controls are there but the gloss black finish hides them pretty well minus the power led in blue on the right corner.If the price was right, I would certainly buy again.No VESA hole mounts on this monitor; the back is smooth and curved. I personally think that every monitor out there should have a VESA interface option, but that is opinion.

I am no Dell fan but this is a neat screen. Contrary to other posters, it does not have an HSMI port. That is why I am only rating it 4 stars. In fairness to the customers, Dell probably should mention which ports it has in their advertisement.

This monitor is top quality! Fantastic picture @ recommended resolution of 1920x1080. PCIe graphics card installed users will notice a really sweet picture/video, also even internal graphics card still looks great. I am not wall mounting this monitor, which appears to be one the negatives...however the stand is perfect even though is doesn't tilt too much. Some stands are not stable, this one is. One last thing, if you upgrading from a 20" or 21.5" you are gonna notice as the screen size looks huge compare to my old one, even though it's just a couple inches.

I never purchased a Dell monitor before. However, my company gave me two on my desk and I found them are working well. When I was searching for monitors, I started to found that Dell has a very good reputation. I checked the details of this one and I was satisfied, so why not have a try? The installation was very very easy, foolproof, and everything works so well. There is not any reason make me give less than 5 stars.

Worked for a year, now screen goes black for 3 seconds then come back on. This happens every 10-15 minutes. Change cables, changed outputs on computer, checked setting on monitor and computer. Still does it. Not a good thing when Dell products such as monitors only last a year. One would think these are the easiest product to engineer to last longer than your computer.

This is a great monitor. I bought this to accompany my surface 3 and have more screen space. Then it became the monitor for the PC I built. Has been working great for the past year a half. Good color, contrast, and overall picture. I’m so happy with it that I’m buying a second monitor to increase my workspace for my nursing program; have lots online of journal articles to sift through!
