This is a great seller. The iron came in just a matter of days, and it came packaged very well, in the original box with warranty etc.About me,I have not-super-thick shoulder length hair which is anything but totally straight. You know that kind of hair that's straight at the top and kind of wavy/curly midway to the ends. I'm also on a budget. I cannot afford to invest in a Chi or Sedu right now and haven't used these before. I only straighten once a week and I typically have used drug store irons like Conair or Remington ceramic that runs between $20-30, and haven't had any real problems with either of these brands. They straighten my hair quite well, and are usually ceramic, and damage isn't a problem for meI chose this as my new iron just because it was a retail value $200 iron that was selling for 17 bucks + shipping. It seemed like a great deal vs just buying another drug store iron for the same price. It was also a nice looking iron which doesn't hurt:)So after using the iron heres what I have to sayPROS - Fast shipping, nice packaging from the seller This model iron DOES have heat settings (unlike other Herstylers) Nice looking iron Heats up to 450 degrees F (though I haven't heated it THAT much) Does it's job, fairly quickly. Leaves my hair frizz free and can go about 2 days being straight if I try Comfortable designCONS - Heat settings doesn't have numbers its just a dial so you do not know exactly how many degrees you are subjecting your hair to.To the touch, the ceramic plates do not seem sturdily attached to the iron itself very well. They move around if you touch themHeavy iron and plasticky smell every time I use it.Doesn't do a visibly better job then any of the drug store irons that I have used.BOTTOM LINE - Good decent iron for the price, and a good seller. ABSOLUTELY NOT worth over $25 certainly NOT 40 as some places advertise or even $100-200 as seen on their website or mall kiosks. If I bought this iron for more it would have certainly been a disappointment. So similier to the performance of a Conair or Remington!!

This is my second time buying this straightener, and I'll probably keep purchasing it until they run out of them! I accidentally broke my first one after having it for over 4 years. Undeniably, the quality suffered after having it for such a long time, but it did its job until the very end! Originally I had purchased mine from a kiosk in a mall, and when it broke the kiosk had been long gone, so I was on the hunt for a new straightener.After trying essentially every ceramic and titanium straightener I could get my hands on at Ulta and hating every one of them, I decided to see if I could find my old HerStyler online. I was ultimately suspicious when I saw the price, and I assumed it was a generic brand being sold in a HerStyler box, but it's not! It's the exact same straightener from the HerStyler kiosks, for hundreds of dollars less than retail price. Can you say win-win? (My original straightener cost roughly $300, so finding this one for $20 was fantastic!)I have very thick, curly hair. (Think Shirley Temple curls.) So finding a straightener that's going to get my hair straight in one or two passes, and keep it straight is a MUST. This straightener has never failed me. Ladies, you know getting your roots straight is a major pain in the butt if you have curly hair, but this straightener does the job perfectly. I can straighten my hair once and leave it for a week without ever having it return to its natural curl. I've lived in California where the weather is very mild, and Florida where the humidity is horrible, and this straightener has worked its magic in both climates!If you're undecided about whether or not this straightener is a good purchase, let me assure you it is! I've never had any issues with it, and it's the only brand that will leave my hair looking shiny and healthy instead of fried and dry.

Before buying this Herstyler flat iron, I had used another flat iron that I purchased for $99 at a women's show. It was my first time ever using a flat iron (before that, I tried to straighten my hair with just a hair dryer). That prior flat iron worked for over 2 years before it just fell apart in my hands one day. Having naturally curly hair and loving the straight hair look that the flat iron gave me, I knew I needed to get another flat iron FAST!I saw this Herstyler on Amazon and was very reluctant because of the price. I would have spent another $100 on a flat iron if I needed to, but this one looked very similar to the one I had before and was ridiculously cheaper. I took a chance and ordered it, hoping that it would do as good of a job as the more expensive one, but not being terribly optimistic about it. I knew I could return it if it turned out to be cheap and not do the job I needed it to.Let me tell you, this thing works just as well. It's now a year and a half later, and I use this flat iron virtually every single day on my thick, coarse hair. It's still going strong, works beautifully, and I am so glad I didn't plop down another $100 for something that I could get at a fraction of the price, that works just as well. I was hoping to get a few good months out of it and now, a year and a half later, I am thinking it may just live up to the lifespan of my other one -- maybe even beyond!I'm very happy with this flat iron. Don't let the low price fool you. It works very well!

My hair is extremely frizzy and usually when I straighten my hair it's still frizzy, or goes frizzy within an hour. This straightener eliminates all my frizz and keeps it away for 3 days (probably longer but after 3 days my hair needs to be washed) very impressed with the price, color, and effectiveness of this hair straightener :)

I had a herstyler super set and straightener broke. This is a great replacement. Works quickly.!
