Do not buy, utterly useless
Bought this product a few weeks ago to use while making a costume for my son for school. I was bitterly disappointed in it. It came looking as though it had already been used. From the very start it would not sew properly. The threads were all in place and it started to sew but a light tug and all the stitches came right out immediately. I rethreaded following the instructions really carefully but it made no difference. In the end I abandoned it and hand sewed the whole costume. Complete and utter waste of money and I would not recommend to anyone. I would like to give it 0 stars but the review won't publish so I am reluctantly giving it 1 star.

Nice and it works.
If you can use a stapler you can use this handheld sewer. Easy to thread and to change colors of thread. Advice: Go stitch to stitch slow and not try to be in a hurry.

Worked, and then would not? Operator error or machine issue?
I bought one of these, put in the batteries and followed the directions, running the machine for 10 seconds, pausing for 5, and then repeating. i went to sleep and was going to stitch my pants the next morning.I woke up, readied my pants to stitch a seam, and the unit would not start. I opened the battery compartment and noticed that one battery was about 0.5 inch lower than the other three and would not make contact, thus - no power.I assumed it was my fault - so i ordered another since it seemed okay, but i am puzzled at the position of the 4th battery. No idea what i could have done, but i will try once more - ordered another tonight.

Need Skills I Don't Have
This handheld sewing machine sounded simple to use - good to this 70 year-old male who wanted something simply to handle hemming cut-offs and other challenges of the like. Wrong!!!! Found it very difficult to thread and open it wide enough to get around the two pieces of material I wanted to sew together. But I suspect the problem is more due to operator inefficiency than the machine itself.

Garbage!
I mean, come on. You know it's not going to be a solid, well made piece of equipment going in, But you would expect it to at least not - LITERALLY - fall apart in your hands as you touch it! It doesn't hold together. It doesn't sew. It doesn't work as a freakin' doorstop, either. Pure. Unadulterated. Useless. Garbage! Yup.

Quick and easy to use
This machine is durable and easy to use. The only thing that made it 4-star instead of 5 is because it does not secure the stitch at the end of it, I'm referring to the closure stitch after sewing. Therefore, if you pull the thread, it would just come off easily. What I do now is get it moving even after it passes through the cloth then tie the extra knotted thread at the end. Is there anyone who has a better idea on how to end the stitch? =) I need to learn how to do that, thanks. =)

The instructions are hilariously translated but in any language this product is worthless
Bottom line, it doesn't sew. A nice line of thread that rips right out of the garment the second it's worn
